Something he got into after retirement. He was never once found to have used recreational drugs, but doesnt C Dawson have a NC for using recreational drugs? What about Hopkins losing it when asked to do a test?
I would say the majority if not all of top level professional boxers are on something [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M8kExGzZfuM[/ame] if you watch that its a interesting documentary about roids and there are bit in it where he talk to Olympic coach's and ex athletes and they tell him roids are in the olympics. So why would they not do it in boxing where the testing isn't as good. Just look at some of there bodys they don't look natural and how quick some go up in weight. It might be one of the reasons why they only fight every 6 months so they can cycle in there "off period" before they start training camp.
Lets be honest here. American's have their own set of rules that only applies to them. Its hard for any fighter to cross the sea and to expect a fair treatment. Its not gonna happen
HEAD' one thing you will find with the nuthuggers here on ESB is that they can't handle cold hard irrefutable fact.
There is a massive question mark over his pro work. He had to do proper drug testing ONCE in his life and failed. In pro boxing the testing is a joke.
to clarify, you want me to show you that toney, jones, and mosley are drugs cheats and that margarito cheated with his handwraps?

alien put the shane mosley evidence up for me. james toney theres a zillion on the articles on the net about toney twice failing drugs test, 1st time after he fought griffin, 2nd time after he fought ruiz. "On the 30th April 2005, James Toney challenged John Ruiz for the latter’s WBA world heavyweight title, winning by unanimous decision over twelve rounds. In the post-fight urine test, Toney tested positive for nandrolone, a banned substance commonly used by bodybuilders to increase mass. As a result, the New York State Athletics Commission banned Toney from fighting in New York for ninety days, fined him ten thousand dollars and changed the result of the fight to a ‘no-contest’. The WBA responded to the positive test by stripping Toney of their title, handing it back to Ruiz and banned Toney from fighting for any WBA title for two years. On the 24th May 2007, at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, the same James Toney won a split decision over Danny Batchelder in a non-title heavyweight bout. In the post-fight tests, both Toney and Batchelder tested positive for banned substances – Toney for Boldenone and Stanozolol, Batchelder for Stanozolol and Oxandolone. Boldenone is a banned substance used in bodybuilding while Stanozolol is the same substance that Ben Johnson tested positive for in the 1988 Summer Olympics. Both Toney and Batchelder were fined $2500 and suspended from fighting in California for the rest of the year" This content is protected This content is protected
margarito "The former WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito and his trainer Javier Capetillo have had their boxing licences revoked for one year by the California State Athletic Commission. The bans stem from Capetillo putting a plaster-like substance under Margarito's hand wraps before his bout against Shane Mosley on 24 January. The pads, confiscated last week, still are being tested by the commission, but they voted 7-0 to revoke both Margarito and Capetillo's licences. Capetillo testified that he accidentally put the pads in Margarito's gloves. "I don't want this young man to have his problems," Capetillo said. "I take full responsibility. I committed this innocent mistake." The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) inspector Che Guevara testified that the pad inside Margarito's hand wraps was "not hard as a rock, but firm and hard." Under the ruling, both the fighter and trainer will able to apply for license reinstatement in one year, but in the meantime will not be able to participate in boxing in the state of California or any other US jurisdiction that upholds the CSAC's decision." The Margarito one is the only one that is not proven. Although it is highly likely he knew about the wraps (99%+) it can't be proven that he actually did.
I have pretty much overlooked most of this stuff, as i think boxing does in general. In general the attitude is pretty much lax:tired Now --except-- what ped mosely did to vargas face.. inexcusable:-( Recreation drugs are a nontopic far as i concerned. it has nothing to do with the sport imo
