I'm Starting To See The Logic Of A Pac-Peterson Fight From A Pac Perspective

Before, I just dismissed this concept of a
    This content is protected
fight as not really a possible scenario.

But, after having thought about it more, I can see why Team Pac would want to do it.

    * If you fight and beat Peterson, you don't then need to fight and beat
    This content is protected
. Because you beat the guy who beat him. This gives you an extra "win" without having to make that fight

    * If you fight Peterson, and Peterson fights as he did against Khan, you (Pac) are likely to have a crowd-pleasing brawl instead of a counterpunching, technical fight. This helps you restore your heat with the fans

    * If you fight Peterson, you take him away from both
    This content is protected
    and, potentially,
    This content is protected
. So, you hurt two of your rivals

    * If you can fight Peterson while also keeping
    This content is protected
in the mix (with a stay-busy fight) and getting
    This content is protected
    signed to
    This content is protected
, then you have an extra "hot" name to add to your PPV list while two other sure-fire PPV winners are still around for later

This fight is staring to make a lot more sense to me, from a business perspective.

I'm still not ready to say I think this fight gets made before JMM IV, but I can now see why Pac and
    This content is protected
would want to make it before JMM IV.

    Mayweather
    Marquez
    Bradley
    Floyd

    In that order.

Winner fights Marquez-Bradely, unless Mayweather can happen.

If Pacquiao-Peterson happens, Roach gets his revenge...in turn making Khan look very bad.

    Bradley-Pacquiao happens first.

If Pac-Peterson does happen, then here is how I see the rest of Pac's career (provided he wins all his fights before the last one), in chronological order:

    Pac-Peterson
    Pac-JMM IV
    Pac-Cotto II
    Pac-Bradley

Bradley won't happen now because he still needs to be built-up, so more $$$ can be made when he fights Pac.

Pac-JMM IV and Pac-Cotto II both easily do 1.25M PPV buys. Those are no-brainers. Which is why you might want to cash-in Peterson now, while he's "hot" off of his Khan win.

You put Bradley on the undercards of all three of the fights before Pac faces Bradley.

It makes business sense. I'm not saying this will happen -- and no, bballchump, I was not told to write this by anyone -- but I can see why it could happen.

I really dont think PAC likes it to the body for twelve full rounds eventhough he would have the speed advantage. Petersen is an under-rated fighter whom if im correct gave Foyd hell in a sparring session. So it was no surprise for me to see him give Khan all kinds of trouble and I think he would do the same to Pac. Pac really shoud chose someone who isnt as athletic and want fight back because one thing for sure is LP will fight back and knows how to adjust a little from what I saw in his last fight. I really dont remember the bradley fight but movement may have gave him some problems in that fight and Bradley I think is a better in fighter than Khan but I really dont know how great Pac in fighting skills wil be probably non-existenet.

Weird post, peterson should fight khan again.
If pac is planning a 140 fight it should be bradley at that weight, that would be a very good win.
After that he could target peterson/khan and look to unify 3 belts, let morales fight marquez and then we can have pac marquez 4 for all the belts early 2013, after that let him fight rios or a moved up gamboa for example then hang the gloves up.
