Pacquiao and his camp are a bunch of bitches. You're happy Floyd will be locked up. You Pacquiao ***gots no longer need any excuses for Pac not fighting Floyd. #Until Floyd gets out!

I agree. Pac's a *****. First he demanded OSDT, then he went on vacation, then came back to fight Ortiz who was almost stopped by Berto, and booked a date at the MGM Grand knowing that he was gonna do time and be unavailable.

All those whom say Mayweather opponents are coming off sensational victories now say... Pac can't fight Peterson.
I think it's a total mismatch, but no denying Peterson did beat Khan, and that's very sensational. I feel kind of bad for Peterson if this match gets made. He will definitely get a ton of $, but Pac is going to hurt him. I think it'll be a great fight as long as it lasts though, and from Pac's standpoint... Probably the best match he could get overall while Floyd is in jail.

Peterson's win over Khan wasn't convincing enough to me and he still doesn't mess with Pac. If he beats Khan again in the rematch, then that fight can happen, but it'd still be bull****, because Bradley is still the number 1 guy at 140

it's roach that started the rumor wanting pac to fight peterson.

roach just want payback for their loss.

It was one win, and a home-cooked one to boot. Let Peterson defend his belts a few times and raise his experience level and status from contender level to established champ so the fight will mean something. With Bradley available from 140, Peterson should not even be in the picture for Pac right now.

That's a Mayweather-esque move. As a Pac fan I would be against it. I certainly would not be buying with the better fights available. I wouldn't hold much faith in casuals eating it up either. Pac has left fans extremely dissapointed his last two fights and fighting a no-name fighter next would be risky business, especially for their chances of parity in the potential Mayweather fight. Marquez or Cotto next would make more sense.

PAC vs Peterson prolly would only sell 750k while Marquez VI would do 1.3 or better and a cotto rematch will do over 1.1....Peterson vs khan 2 needs to happen before he goes and fights anyone else

So basically Pac went to war 3 times with JMM and got 2 gift decisions and a draw, while Floyd went 12-0 against JMM. By this logic Floyd has already beaten Pac... You *******s should think before you talk :-( :patsch

Why? Because then they cannot throw that Pacquiao doesn't fight fighters coming off great wins anymore. :hi:

Seriously speaking it makes business sense. But does it make sense enough to go against an immediate Khan rematch and an immediate JMM rematch at the same time when they are still fresh and thus will gather more buys.

Frankly, I agree with the OP. I don't see the problem with this fight, really. He had a really hard one now he's going to box an easier one. It's been like that forever, really. It's a water-treading fight.

Look, Pac isn't going to fight Marquez again before they can settle whether or not he can get the $50m for fighting Money. That's $50m guys. If I was in Pacquiao's position i'd ****ing fight Margarito's mother, critics be damned, and see if it can be made. I wouldn't fight Marquez again right away. The fact is, this fight is framed by what comes after it, not what is happening now. If it goes

    KO11 Peterson
    WPTS 12 Maywather
    WPTS 12 Marquez

Nobody will give a **** that he fought Peterson at the beginning of the year, will they?
