  1. It's strange how HBO's one-time crusade against the alphabets has now turned into them using them for their own convenience.....

They came running with their tales inbetween their legs when Bob showed he was willing to not use HBO. They sold their soul and got in bed with the devil!

All because they'd have lost Manny and Miguel. Two of the three biggest stars in the sport.

HBO never forgave Martinez for destroying Williams.

    "He's not getting up guys :( : ("

You might be onto something there. The whole event was like a coronation for the next great American middleweight. Even the way HBO went on about it… Steward talking about Williams’ pressure, Lampley (or was it Papa?) getting excited about the lanky ****’s inaccurate slaps, and Kellerman’s mounting excitement… it was like watching a Legendary Night’s episode in advance.

And then that left hand landed. Kellerman sounded like he was going to cry. Steward did his usual backtracking about how Martinez had been looking for that shot.

HBO obviously hoped it would get Chavez or Alvarez to meet Sergio, so it was worth keeping him on. But since neither TR nor GBP is interested in decent fights for those guys, it was easier to **** Sergio over.

He’s lanky, he’s a ****. It’s Paul Williams, a guy who helped promote the idea that throwing hundreds of punches that don’t land could be considered “effective aggression”.

I also hate his fans. Years ago they all went on that Williams would beat Mayweather, De La Hoya, Pavlik and Calzaghe and become lineal champion in all four divisions. I **** you not.

At his best probably a pretty horrible matchup for Floyd IMO. Still, too plodding to win.

When Pavlik should've fought him I favoured Williams big time.

    Why's he a ****? The Lara business?

He's always acted like an entitled dick. He's another member of the no-fans club who complained no one would fight him and believed beating margarito was enough to let him write the cheques.

His behaviour before the rematch with sergio was pretty poor too.

and then the 180 in making Williams sound like a bum who needs to retire during his fight with Lara.
