History repeating itself... Ward/Ottke

What a ****in moron Failey is.... But what does one expect from a 17yo popinjay with a crush on a retired boxer...

 

:deal I've always found it difficult to swollow the fact that TWO guys in the same ****in division were racking up so called 'record' number of title defenses AT THE SAME TIME. atsch But At least Ottke was defending two belts as opposed to Joe's WBO **** belt...

 

Bailey is afraid of Ward overcoming Joe and hates him with all his heart, there is plenty of time for Ward to fight Bute this thread is pointless.

 

These facts are absoultely pointless...is it just me or am I not absorbing your goal here?.........your boxrec investigations are meaningless if your trying to compare Ottke to Ward.

 

The Ring's rule's expressly permit that. If there is no champ and there is a match between the #1 and #3 (rather than #1 and #2) they can elect to make that a title fight.

 

At the time Ward was considered a prospect (a highly touted one) but still there was no talk of him taken on Joe. Anybody with half a acorn of a brain could see Lacey's flaws and his lack of boxing layers and IQ. Why am I even wasting my time....:roll:atsch

 

That's what Failey does. For ****'s sake, to this day, he STILL thinks Joe C's win over RJJ is a good one! atsch Says **** like, "RJJ was ranked 5 at ltHW..yadda yadda...beat blah blah who had won 7 in a row!!:shock:"

What I really don't get is why is that every time anything happens in the SMW division or anything even remotely related to Calzaghe, we get flooded with a crazy amount of threads.


PS- And no, the irony is not lost that I posted this on a thread that doesn't specifically mention Calzaghe in the title. It was by design.

 

You really want to spend a whole day of your vacation picking arguments with people who don't worship Joe?

Ward is very young, has his whole career ahead of him, and won the Super Six. You may nitpick the tournament all you want, but it was a major international event far greater than anything Sven or Joe participated in.

If anybody reminds me of Joe or Sven, it's Bute. He fights only in one town. Not even other cities or states and only against the most fringe of contenders.

 

There are a lot of similarities between the two fighters, but Ward is not on Ottke's level, yet.
He has a few years left to reach that type of status and he has all of the tools to get there.

 

i don't get why wards fans get so upset for a poster pointing out obvious similarities between ward and ottke. these americans are that delusional they never see the double standards staring them in the face.
