 he lost to an ATG on cuts (though up on the cards) and because he blew out his shoulder while winning the fight. Goddamn Klitschko haters are dumb. Bunch of Jacks.
pre Manilla Ali Beats him, Holmes beats him around 78, Foreman fight is 50/50, no one else beats Vitali
Vitali just isnt that good. He is awful to watch. He doesnt hit that hard. His record/resume isnt fantastic.
He fights weird but in a good way, very high workrate for a heavy, decent power, rarely gives up a round, loves to fight. Too beat him you either need height, reach, jab and strengt and be a atg boxer ( e.g. lewis, holmes, bowe if he makes it an inside fight) or be really fast ( e.g. tyson and ali) otherwise you are basically screwed and waiting for a beating, he is also tricky enough. He isnt the goat or anything but to act like he would be some bum is bull****. Vitali at the very least is competetive at the top in every era.
Journeyman my ass. He would pose problems for everyone then, just like he does now. This **** is only being brought up because he's a white guy, and apparently it's racist to even think of a white guy as good unless he fought in 1920 or so.
The problem is with this argument, is that he's never fought a good short fighter, with little reach, no emphasis on the jab, one who isn't an elite boxer, nor someone who can be very good despite not being fast. In fact, he's not fought a 'good' opponent who has any of those things. He's never beaten a 'good' opponent. That's not disrespectful to the fighters he has beaten, by the way, but it terms of the division, would guys like Sanders or Adamek really be classed as 'good' or rather 'distinctly average'? I don't think they'd be good. This is the problem with rating him. How can he say 'you need to have a great jab to beat him' when he's fought such poor opposition? Maybe someone like Holyfield, who is shorter, lighter and has many more physical weaknesses, would just be too smart and shut him out? Or maybe a prime Lewis would be too quick? Maybe someone like George Chuvalo would hit too hard and be too tough? Mayweather said "there is no blueprint to beat me". That's true, there isn't. Vitali hasn't given us a blueprint on how he even stands a chance against the top heavyweights of all-time, never mind deserves to be ranked ahead of them.
Serious hardcore fan with an objective perpsective unlike your embarassing fanboy bull****. Calling Vitali a H2H nightmare is a joke, go **** yourself.
atsch Yeah, okay, Vitali isn't better than Chuvalo and Lyle. Sniffing glue is not the same as taking vitamins, guys. Consult your doctors about it. You're not doing yourselves any favors.
