UFC fans can't help but to get on MMA fans nerves. First, Brock Lesnar is "The baddest man on the planet". He did well for what it was worth, but by no means was he the baddest man on the planet. Meanwhile Fedor fought cans for the last 10 years, and Overeem is a roided up overhyped peice of trash. Then Cain destroys the baddest man on the planet, and then Cain becomes a living legend. He blasts *PRIME* Fedor out of the water like nothing, and Overeem is lucky to hold this guys jock. Santos knocks out Cain with ease, and bye bye Cain followers. Now, Santos is the freakin MAN! It's just rediculous. Let these guys prove themselves a little. Dos Santos has a good shot against Overeem, he does have good boxing, but let these guys have a couple fights against some stiff competition, and quit hating on established fighters who has proven themselves.
I think you, and others on this forum, need too look up the meaning of the word promoter in a dictionary fella Take what they say with a large grain of salt
Things is .............. people are stupid and when compiled together basically believe anything you tell them. So ......... simply stop believing the hype, if all goes well and everyone stops listening eventually it'll go away. I watch the fights no-a-days and try fairly effortlessly to not pay attention to the lead up anymore. Its not worth it, plus if you don't actually take the time to search it out on the internet you'll never even know its going on.
You are right. Why would a Promoter exaggerate or dismiss competition as being inferior just to make a few million dollars. Next thing you will be telling me is that people will spend more time discussing a Promoters claims than what actually happened in the fight
Yea, I think he takes this "hype" thing a little too far. Most people know Brock is what he is.....there's no zuffa brainwashing going on here.
Fedor, Sergei, Josh just to name a few. Fedor continues to have the best and most impressive as well as the most rounded in MMA, josh continues to be the best wrestler, Werdum the best grappler, Overeem the best striker, and even Monson the hardest chin in MMA. These guys built their names up through their fights, and didnt rely on a promoter hyping them up to the heavens.
Promoters can exagerate, but at the same time shouldnt wreck or bring down another fight's reputation, a fighter not even in the promotion. A promoter who cant deliver on what they bull**** should be pulled up and questioned by journalists. It seems thatr Dana and Zuffa arent being questioned or called up on their BS by zombie promoters.
Ever wondered why Fedor gets beaten in his first fight suddenly drops outside the top ten why someone like Brock and Cain can still stay in the top 5? Its because of Zuffa hype and because zombies all believed that Fedor fought bums all through his career.
