    Yeah, for having damaged it he nailed Nicklow with some meaty & hurtful rights.

    A guy like Jermain should never try to force the KO against someone with a solid chin. Those - including Tarver - bemoaning the lack of an earlier finish ought to knoe better. He stayed within himself and did what was smart in there. His jab is his bread and butter, as you say. In fact, I'd say during his reign he was perhaps the spiritual successor to Bazooka Quartey and Larry Holmes before him.

    Burns really has him looking on point in every way.

    If you look back in the thread, he was so in shape it prompted me to make like three comments about it before the first bell even rang.

    This is not a weight-drained man, or someone who "cut down the wrong way" as Emanuel Steward is always cautioning against. That was a comfortable in his skin, strong looking middleweight in there.

    I always rooted against him as an in-ring performer and was thrilled when Hopkins humbled him.

    He's been proving himself as a commentator since day 1 and become a very likable personality IMO - to the point where I was actually more thrilled to see him humble Green than I'd been a few years earlier when he lost to Hopkins. :yep

    It isn't even necessary for me to always agree with his analysis (sometime we're not on the same page at all) to see and respect where he's coming from.

    That left hand at 1:55 really was monstrous and fast.

    Where did it land? It was and still is hard to tell from the angle, even with repeated viewings.

    I'd thought it was flush on the chin but it seems it might have been higher up on the face.

    Taylor is definitely at an elite level already, physically and athletically, and for a guy who hadn't been in the ring for 2+ years he looked good. It was still scary to watch, every punch he took (even though they weren't flush) had me worried.

    What was the ref doing in the Dirrell fight? It was clear after the first knockdown the Cunningham was finished.

    physically he's great. i noticed he also learned how to hold and clinch since he's been resting. glad he added that to his game.h his jab as always was very effective and beatiful. also noticed he added some body work to his repoitore, and a left hook was used more than in the past. no doubt getting back with burns was the right move. i worried about how he'd take punches as well but he when he looked like he got caught in the later rounds it was actually because he was off balance. don't know if he's mentally confident yet. this game is so mental. reminds of rocky 3 when rocky said when a fighter doesn't believe in himself it's over.
