This is completely academic. When heavyweights are fighting all it takes is ONE punch to change a fight. The fact a larger man can beat a smaller man is surprising to you? Really? Why do you think Hong Man Choi has had a modicum of success as a fighter? Or Ricardo Morais? Or Jan Norte? Like iv already iterated there's nothing scientific about this. Your post is disingenuous and most of all of the troll variety.
Moot point. If all things were equal Brock would have lost. But the facts are they were not. Randy was what 47? He's also a a CAREER light heavyweight. Optimally Brock had at least 50-60lbs on him and 15 years younger. Other than name value his win was always going to flatter him. The same way Sapp's flatters him over Hoost. But look at both mens resumes as they started to face guys closer to their size. They didn't just loose. They lost spectacularly. But that obviously cannot detract Hoost or Coutures ability's. Thats simply a childish statement by Geppy to make.
Thats true. In the end though Brock inability to deal with getting hit ended his career. Against Carwin, Cain and Alistair when Lesnar got hurt he curled up in the fetal position. He cannot handle getting hit.
It is bizarre to watch. Against Carwin, Cain and again last night, Lesnar stops fighting and just covers up when he gets hurt. He had a lot of potential. But he cant handle getting hit! Lesnar had never been knocked out cold with a punch. When he gets hurt he just stops fighting back until the ref stops the fight.
Its not. Thats the default response from at least 95% of humans on this planet. Fighting is not natural contrary to popular opinion here. And not every big guy knows how to have a ruck. Bruno had a fantastic career. And we all know what happened to him when he got hit cleanly. He was like a deer stuck in a headlight. Dude didn't know what to do. Never has there been a truer saying "Champions are born. They're not made".
Cant wait for this one! Cigano looked keen watching over in the octagon. Cigano is awesome worth to keep your eyes on this fight
He doesn't seem to cover up he just looks like he shits him self its like he has some type of phobia to even gettin tapped on the face.
Most guys have this in some form or other when they first start training. I know when I started boxing I had a habit of looking at the ground when I blocked and sometimes looking away when I punched. Then I broke the habit after about a month as do most people. What's weird is that Brock still does it.
:thumbsup Brock's training camps appear to have little or no focus on boxing defence. His focus on striking seems to be at Tae Bo level. All the footage I have seen, the pad holders and sparring partners all seem to be there to make Brock comfortable rather than challenging him. From what I read Brock seems to do no work with anyone outside of his immediate circle. A bit more "will travel to learn" attitude would have made a big difference IMO.
Lesner lost his heart with his illness. The UFC are idiots for making him fight Overeem when he is coming off a serious operation. I understood it the first time because he was champ but this was just a lack of care for a man who has done so much for them.
I agree with this, and was very vocal about it when the fight was announced. It was a dumb decision. If you want the fans to see fights between guys at their best, they need to stop throwing guys coming off long lay-offs due to injury/surgery in with guys who are in good form with momentum and confidence behind them. 9 times out of 10, the guy coming off the serious lay-off gets blitzed.
I agree. The UFC is good for getting the best to fight the best but you need comeback fights like in boxing.
