In light of the other thread, which I thought was quite interesting. How would Mosley do against Floyds opposition. Luckily since they went through many of the same weight classes, it makes these comparisons against opposition more legitimate! The only fighters I see given Shane trouble would be Corrales, whom I think Shane stops later on in the fight after taking some big punches, and maybe Castillo, who loses a competitive UD. Mayweather fought that old ass De La Hoya when he was about 30 years old...right? A 30 year old Shane Mosley would have obliterated that ODLH. Thoughts:think

He would've lost to DLH. He couldn't win without cheating on roids. He also probably gets outboxed by Marquez.

I think he smokes Floyd's competition...because a lot of these guys came straight at Floyd(great match making) Guys standing right in front of lightweight and early 147 Mosley are not going to win.

Mosley is bigger than Floyd so it gets kinda sketchy when we're talking about 154 and 130. A 149 pound version of Shane wouldn't beat the Oscar Floyd fought.

A very lucky mosely could only beat half of floyds opposition. Floyd is too damn good and picked very good opposition through his career.

I want to say ODLH but Mosley beat a better version of ODLH. So I say Mosley beats all of Floyd's opposition.

He'd beat them all, that being said he can't fight Floyd's 130 competition can he? As for the 140 competition, we'd have to guess what a 140 Mosley would look like. And as for the 154 fight with de la Hoya, well he should have lost to Oscar back in 2003 but this one maybe closer with Oscar being older.

Its not exactly an easy scenario to answer. Are we using the best possible version of Mosley in all of these fights at 135, 147 and 154? Then we have reason to say he beats everyone.

No we should use use the version of Shane Mosley at the age at which Floyd fought that opposition... I think that is the fairest way to do such a comparison. I think it would be bull**** to hold a loss against Mayweather if he was 38 years old fighting the number 1 p4p, on the other side of the coin.
