This era is at least as good as the 70's HW era when you actually look at it

How exactly is this era bad? Do some of you ****wits actually think it's the norm to have 3 of the top 20 ATG HW's active at once? Under what criteria can having 3 ATG's active at once make an era a poor one?

Here is my list ranking the top 20 ATG HW's. It is based partly on resume and partly on how I think these fighters would do head-to-head if they fought in the same era.

    1. Nick Valuev
    2. Muhammad Ali
    3. Joe Louis
    4. Lennox Lewis
    5. George Foreman
    6. Joe Frazier
    7. Rocky Marciano
    8. Larry Holmes
    9. Jack Dempsey
    10. Sonny Liston
    11. Jack Johnson
    12. Wladimir Klitschko
    13. Mike Tyson
    14. Ezzard Charles
    15. Floyd Patterson
    16. James Jeffries
    17. Evander Holyfield
    18. Jersey Joe Walcott
    19. Gene Tunney
    20. Vitali Klitschko

Notice how many current active heavies are in this list.

The problem is, neither Wlad or Vitali are top 20. Nobody they have beaten is top 30. Outside of Byrd, nobody either has beaten is top 50.

I am glad you rightfully placed SNV as the GOAT! The Original Sugar transcended the sport and even allowed Ray Robinson to use his Moniker even before he was born. He floated like a butterfly and stung like a bee, and was the baddest man on the planet while he was only a twinkle in his old man's eye! The man never lost a second of any minute of any round he ever fought. If Morales is GOD.

    SNV>GOD

He is the Only man that SOTO ever ducked and even puts fear in the eyes of the new P4p king (Kell Brook).

BIG V stopped the Great War and its sequel, ended global warming, cured Cancer and AIDS and ultimately will bring world peace.

    Long live the Greatest SNV!!

The only difference between the two eras, i believe, is that fighters in the 70's were alot more athletic.... more able to pull off an upset on any given night

I admire Sugar Nicky the only reason he didn't ktfo Holyfield in the first round brutally was out of respect to the former great. He even let the legend hit him with some clean 4-5 punch combos to not make Holy feel so bad. Brought a tear to my eye. Just a tremendous show of sportsmanship from Big Sexy Nico.

Valuev has the jab of Holmes, the counterpunching of Toney, left hook of Foster, uppercut of Tyson, defense of Locche, right cross of Hearns, bodypunching of Chavez, and the model looks of Sergio.

    Valuev= GOAT

    Agreed.

As a matter of fact they should leave the #2 slot behind Niko blank for all eternity. So as no one gets any silly ideas.

    NOBODY sneaks up on SNV.
