Because he has got a 2 and 0 record when it comes to beating up women. He did beef them up to a catchweight of 190lbs whilst he failed to make that and came in at 147lb but he shouldnt be knocked for such a great achievement even though they couldnt even get off the stool to fight due to obesity.
so this ***** ass punk takes a cheap shot at Ortiz and now all of a sudden he is p4p#1, I don't ****ing get it.
because the other number 1 p4p just LOST. Floyd is rated number 1 because he proved he's the best from the first 3 and a half round vs Ortiz and by Pacquiao losing to Juan
Floyd turned down arum's offer of margo to leave GPB to face DLH at 154 for 20 million. DLH at 154 was a better fighter than margo and would have knocked out Margo. Floyd took the harder fight for more money. Arum likes to say floyd ducked a margo fight for 10 million neglecting to mention that floyd opted to leave his ass and fight DLH and Hatton for 20 million each.
Floyd Mayweather Jr, faced with the prospect of an additional stint in prison following a 90-day sentence which he will begin serving at the Clark County Detention Center in Las Vegas on January 6, paid a $1,000 fine to stay out of jail for a longer period. Mayweathers attorneys on Friday completed the second part of a plea deal that allowed him to pay the fine and avoid trial and jail time for a scuffle with a security guard in an argument about parking tickets in November last year. Mayweather did not appear before Las Vegas justice of the peace Janiece Marshall. His lawyer, Karen Winckler, pleaded no contest on his behalf to misdemeanor battery and said the fine had been paid. The plea acknowledged allegations that Mayweather poked a 21-year-old guard in the face several times during their argument in front of Mayweather's home in an exclusive gated community several miles south of the Las Vegas Strip. Mayweather's lawyers have said they may ask the judge Melissa Saragosa who sentenced him in the domestic violence case to reconsider the 90-day jail term but Winckler declined comment after Friday's hearing. Police have said good behavior could reduce Mayweather's jail term sentence by several weeks. Mayweathers legal troubles arent yet over as pound for pound king Manny Pacquiao has a defamation lawsuit pending in federal court in Las Vegas stemming from statements by Mayweather alleging that was on performance-enhancing drugs. Pacquiao was supposed to give his deposition in the first week of January but his trip to Los Angeles has been postponed even as his lawyers suggested that a delay in the deposition would be appropriate which some believe may be linked to a possible agreement on a Pacquiao-Mayweather megabuck fight sometime in November 2012. It was reported that Mayweather has to complete 40 hours of community service by January 31 with the Las Vegas Habitat for Humanity project under a South Carolina federal judge's order for dodging a deposition in a music rights lawsuit and also faces a civil lawsuit in Las Vegas from two men who allege he orchestrated a shooting attack on them outside a skating rink in 2009. Police have not accused Mayweather of firing shots and he has not been criminally charged in the case. Gayweather has to go through all these troubles just to sell fights?
Pacquiaos fans still love Pacquiao even though he's ducked Floyd and a bunch of other fighters, been ****ing kod twice, knocked down by jabs, and in one instance saved by a long count, beaten up by Marquez 3 times, and beaten up by an old guy. Hilarious.
Same reason why you saw 6'3 guys trying to bob and weave like Mike Tyson in the 80's and 90's........
he's overrated. he fits the stereotype of a great fighter and lives off that a little. he's a great fighter, but overrated.
Ummn, when was this and where did you get that from? I've been following dude's career closely since 2003/04, and never once have I heard Cotto dismiss a Mayweather fight. I have, however, heard Floyd on multiple occasions (Hatton post-fight, ESPN FNF interview, etc) dismiss a fight with Cotto.
Nowhere in that article does it mention Cotto turning down a Mayweather fight. Though it's not from a reputable source, anyhow.
