I like Anderson,he also can mix his boxing with kicks and knees like its easy and that is important in mma,he makes it look so fluid, like water.
Take Anderson's kicks and knees away - would he win a standup fight with the hands in the Octagon with Vitor Belfort???
This might sound daft, but I think Nam Phan is up there. Every time I've watched him I've been seriously impressed with the way he utilises his boxing. Even last night when he got grappled to death by Hettes, I was impressed by his boxing in the few exchanges when he got to use it.
Arrogant and disrespectful against Maia is a fair call. But his complete mastery of Maia was also quite stunning. A brilliant career with a single blemish compares very favourably to most other dominant MMA fighters, but I respect your opinion :good
I say Dos Santos on the basis that if he was 6 foot his hand speed, co-ordination, agility etc would be even more impressive. His boxing for a fully fledged heavyweight is what is impressive. Otherwise it is probably Silva as he seems to have embraced the highest level of boxing with his defence, timing, accuracy etc
Lots of great options but id pick JDS he has shown almost no flaws in his standup game. The Diaz brothers for example still take alot of hits along with some of the others. BTW I love Wandy but he doesnt belong on any best hands list.
Gegard. Not just top praise from someone like Anderson, but Gegard has actually proven himself. He beat some of the best kickboxers and was an top amateur boxer as well.
Yea Mousasi will LIGHT YOU UP if you attempt to strike with him... Only way to really beat him is wrestle **** him to a decision, and he's getting alot better with wrestling. Scary thought.
There's only an inch in height between Junior and Silva. You are right about Junior as far as striking for a heavyweight goes. Outstanding hand skills :good
