#8 on mine, hopefully he gets a couple big fights after juarez, if juanma wins a rematch vs salido that'd be a good fight for gamboa that he'd win and would actually get some credit and move up a couple spots on the list for.

Shut up about Juarez. That was a false rumor.
The online reporter ****ed up and got the wrong Rocky. The rumored name is
    actually Rocky Martinez

I'd expect Gamboa is anywhere from 8-12 on many people's lists.

    No. 10 on mine.

His record hasn't got any GREAT names, but it has lots of good names and he has never fought anybody with a losing record or close to a losing record which is very impressive.

Gamboa gets caught off balance when he gets knocked down.

But just looking at the way he fights you can see that this guy is cut from a different cloth.

juan manuel lopez was all hype, he had defensive deficiences as well and from what I can tell not sure if he has corrected them.

I'm not saying the man's not good, he is, he's damn good. I just don't rate someone on a p4p list because of what they could be, I do it on a mix of what have they done lately as well as past accomplishments. I also factor in the knockout ratio, why some guys are ranked higher than others. Why Donaire and Martinez are ranked higher than Ward.

which is why I don't think floyd should be ranked number 1. Cheap shotting a whiny ***** Oritz to knock him out when you have the ref on your side is not a reason to jump to the number one spot. Some people claim he rose because Pac did bad against Marquez. Well he didn't lose to Marquez, to me it was a draw.

Anyway come back next year and I may revise my opinion on gamboa's top 10 p4p status. I'm sorry the dude only fought twice this year, what the **** he's not a superstar yet and he only has 21 matches to his belt. Combine that with his resume and you have a top 20 maybe.

didn't say knockout ratio. I said knockouts.

anyone can accumalate a high knockout ratio by fighting chumps at the beginning of their career. When you have signifigant title fights like donaire vs montiel, or martinez vs williams 2 and are knocking out top tier opposition that deserves a higher ranking on the p4p list and not from a cheap shot either. Not saying Ortiz didn't deserve it but it was a ***** move against a *****.

when I say knockouts I mean tko's as well. When you dish enough punishment that the other guy submits or the ref stops it that means you can ****ing box. you have to include knockouts, why pussyfut around with the guy when you have the skills to get him out of there but don't.

also boxing is not solely the art of defense, which some of you posters seem to forget.
