If Frank Mir breaks someone's arm for the 3rd time, should he be sanctioned?

Sanction Frank Mir for his BJJ use during MMA competition? No.

Sanction Rousimar Palhares? Abso-****ing-lutely.

If a guy chooses not to tap for whatever reason (stupidity most likely), that's their fault. They're professionals and should know better. This is the sport we have. BJJ is an integral part of it. Don't like it? There's always other sports. I hear darts is exciting.

 

If I thought Mir breaking limbs was accidental, I'd say no. But no matter what anyone says, I believe he wanted to and tried to break Nog's arm.

It doesn't really matter now anyhow, the UFC is now on Fox, and is trying to get licensed in New York, etc, so if Mir does it again he'll be treated like an outcast by White, Silva and the Fertittas, and sent to fight on UFC Fight Night cards in Shittown USA. They're not going to let the UFC be refused acceptance by mainstream sports and media because of one man's quest to gain notoriety for breaking bones.

 

If a fighter doesn't know when to tap that's his decision. I can't go around judging intentions unless the fighter opens their mouth and says that's what they were trying to do.

 

If he does it again he should be given a ****in award and ESPN should devote an entire channel to just showing that clip over and over again!

Also if you have ever been Kimura'd you would know it attacks the shoulder joint more than the humerus and is vastly more likely to dislocate the shoulder than fracture the arm.
