It sounds racist to say it, but there's no racist intentions when I say that it's the overall superior athleticism (speed, reflexes, agility & movement) that makes the African Americans often better than its European counterparts.

Not all Euros have the same fight game....Ricky Hatton had to wait for Floyd Sr. to teach him how to fight from the outside if necessary. All he had was a crude, straight in your face inside game.

Lets quit the bull**** and be honest here saying that often times, the natural better phsical skillset is what makes the biggest difference, not the style.

Peterson took Khan apart on the inside, Ward did the same against Froch and Kessler. No question Americans have a better inside game. Also look at Bradley. Excellent inside game, and a natural talent for headbutts.

But I fail to understand the comment about poor fotwork and bad offense.

The lack of headmovement is mostly true, but it seems like few American fighters are able to turn such skill into a real advantage.

Nobodies asking for Dirrell or Roy Jones Jr. Just a bit of head movement and ability to fight on the inside. Look at guys like Erik Morales, Juan Marquez and Antonio Barrera. Not incredibly athletic guys but sound all around fighters.

Look at Pirog. Somewhere along the way someone taught Pirog how to throw a uppercut on the inside. How to move his head, how to feint and throw hooks.

That is actually quite true although Europeans seem to be switching from that style, recently.

I'll have a look at him. As a Euro I would appreciate if European boxers could step their game up a bit.

Yeah if he gets hit like that vs Martinez he's getting KTFO. But maybe he had no respect for Jacobs power.

I think that was part of it, yea. I just don't like to see guys with fantastic defense like that take shots unnecessarily, that is, until they have to. :rasta

i would've rather said zab judah, but out of the list, probably taylor. lacy was always a bum, and alexander lost 3 fights, which comes with being a young fighter maturing against good opposition. he still has a lot of potential. taylor had all the tools and simply couldn't get a defense and put them together.
