Did anyone notice in the article it says that his work out is OLD SCHOOL workouts the S&C guru **** is a NEW thing when you see him training it is still basic training 101 but he does have a personal chef like most top Atlete and as one poster said it is a lot easier to stay as close to fighting shape as possible, him and bhop as far as i know really dont have to spend as much time "getting into shape" their camps are more about timing and BOXING skill training than it is about losing weight and getting strong like most fighters camps are. FYI Lenord Ellerbe was also one of sugar ray lenord trainers back in the day for those who remember boxing
thanks for the information. :thumbsup one more question, how much percentage of carbo, protein and fat do you usually mix-up? from what i know, athletes needs more protein based foods normally than an average person, right?
not really. it depends on how their body works and the works out they have. I have read that PAC has as much as 9000 calories.... it really depends on the individual. for example.. the olympic swimmer Phelps has as much as 10,000 a day
Ellerbe talks about it in one of his older interviews I think in the soul of a champion show that used to come on versus and before than he spoke in interview about being aroud Ray and Floyd that Ray was not as obsessive as Floyd is about training he also was one Rogers trainers thats how he knew Floyd thru Roger
I'll have to watch it again. I have the soul of a champ that you're talking about saved right onto my computer.
yes.. more protein. animal protein is what I like. Red meat for the B12, iron, and magnesium. roughly 40%protein 40% carb 20% fat during fight week the carbs go up, fat & protein comes down so we can carb load for the fight
ya that's what I was thinking also. I'm like damn man, we not even seeing you at your very best yet ya. Leonard is more important than I originally thought
CHEF, what is the life of a fighter's chef like? Do you work for them by cooking even when they aren't training for a fight?
I understand the need for personal trainers especially for top atletes but it is to the point in some cases that they get as famous as the atletes, I grew up in the 80's and 90's Chicago where Tim Grove became huge just for being Michael Jordan's he went from being Tim Grove MJ's personal trainer into TIM GROVES TRAINING GURU, Im not hating, but I see it more as the time has passed where these trainers are looked upon as some new super exercise gurus I just find it weird
Well judging by the K bro's your pretty damn good at your job how does magnesium factor in though? im a bit curious about that one.
