ITs gonna **** people off, but i don't see him losing for a loooong time. if ever. better get used to him (i'm trying.....)
when did ward lobby to keep bute out? never heard of that. funny how he would fight Kessler(the best SMW) at that time but keep Bute out who had only beaten Andrade.
Bute specifically left hbo and signed with showtime to be included as a replacement for either of the withdrawn fighters. However, when his promotional company tried to get him included there were problems arising from Wards camp, specifically G@@53N, who REFUSED to copromote with Interbox. why? Why would they refuse such a thing for a potential multimillion dollar fight should Bute had gone on and beat froch. Froch's team also did not do anything to help the cause, instead opting to agree to Johnson being the replacement to fight Allan Green the moment Bute had signed to fight Brinkley after being shut out by G@@53N. If Lucian would have gotten that Green fight it would have been Bute vs Froch for the semi, and had Bute beaten Froch, which seems obvious he would, then it would be ward vs BUTE in the final, and G@@53N refused to copromote with Interbox. THERE.....see how it went down now.:deal
Surely thats a joke, right? Ward just fought Miranda, Kessler (champ), Green, Bika, Abraham, and Froch (champ) in his last 6 fights. Bute fought Andrade (props on the win, but we all know what happened in their first fight), Miranda, Brinkley, Magee, Mendy, and Johnson There are only 2 common opponents between both of them. Given the fact that Bute fought all those fights in Canada, that makes him no better than Ward fighting all of his fights in Oakland. Therefore, you personally have something against Ward. There is no way you could hate on Ward for this and not on Bute. Ward is right though, why does he have to immediately fight Bute after completing a grueling tournament while Bute fights scrubs this whole time and gets his shot? I say Bute vs Froch or Kessler and the winner gets Ward.
Interbox just offered G@@53N 50/50 for a fight in OAKLAND......... He's also in talk with Froch's camp for a 2 fight 50/50 deal in Montreal and Knottingham. Say WHERE......Say WHEN!:deal LUCIAN BOOTAYE BOOMAYE!:deal
If only he gave Calzaghe that very same inner strength to fight legitimate threats this early in his career rather than racking up wins against bums. It's enough embarrassment that Ward has done more in 25 fights than Calzaghe in 46.
So what ? I give my father strength too sometimes when he needs it. :hat SOG a G. I'm starting to like this kid.
What happened in the first Andrade fight. Bute was finally Kd'd for the first time. I mean, exhaustion and being ready to go are two different things unless it's the opening minutes of the fight. I'm sure if Andrade had him exhauted and dropped him in the first round that the result would have been different....hell, a 15 rdr woulda produced a different outcome, but in 2009, the championship rounds were 11/12 just like they've been since 83, and Bute survived and pulled out a lopsided UD over the #4 ranked SMW in the world.
ward lobbied to keep bute out? bull****. Bute didn't get in because he chose to stay with hboo. In retrospect a bad choice. If bute gets a good win and still cant get a fight then u have a point. Otherwise u are just crying. Keith
I somehow dont believe it was that cut and dry. But Bute ****ed himself over bynot being in it in the first place. he can whine and cry all he wants for now but until he beats a couple of those guys doubts will always persist.
Is that why Americans cant handle Calzaghe beating Americas best SMWs of his era and Americas 2 legends of the decade?
atsch Its sad when you have to make **** up to justify your hatred! You cant even produce a valid source for this BS...How in the hell can a boxer keep another boxer from entering a tournament?? Doesnt even makes sense.
Bute didn't bother to enter the super 6 and stayed at home fighting fringe contenders. Why the heck should anyone give him credit for that, as though Ward has to fight Bute now to prove himself? Bute needs to step up in class, and the most honest way to do that would be by fighting one of Ward's better opponents (i.e. Froch or Kessler).
Bute has said he will step up and fight Ward, isnt that stepping up? Froch had agreed at the end of the S6 that he would fight Bute, so had Froch won do you think he should have pulled out against Bute? Remember Froch had the roughest ride to the final by a long way
By refusing to allow interbox to copromote. Bute signed with Shwotime and given the chance to enter so long as interbox could co promote. G@@53N refused......PERIOD. Interbox did all they could to get Bute in as the replacement, but could not come to terms with G@@53n!:deal
