 QFT. Don't be surprised if Overeem tears through all the competition with ease. He's a WORLD class striker with oodles more experience than ANY of the other heavys in the UFC.
On their feet JDS is toast. He's not a world class striker and his only main asset is his heavy hands. Bar a hail mary i dont see him beating Overeem at all.

Overeem will rag-doll him across the cage. JDS has a puncher's chance tough.

Routing for JSD but expecting Overeem to land a KO at some point

I am going with Junior because I am his fan and have to back him,but I know this could be the hardest test for him,but to me he has much more heart than Alistar.

Im not sure it will be.... I have a sneaky suspicion that JDS will walk through Overeem. Unless Overeem is prepared to go 5 rounds and really put his offense together by using combinations he's always going to be a few seconds away from being Kharitnoved...

Junior by 2nd round KO. JDS is a better boxer and a better fighter. He won't be a passive target for Overeem's knees like Brock was, and Overeem will not be able to defend against JDS's quick combos and powershots. Overeem has a live puncher's chance, but not much else. His size advantage won't bail him out here vs someone with hands like Cigano's.

It's funny you should say that actually. I thought Overeem did look a little stiff against Brock, and put it down to fears of getting taken down early.

It'll be interesting to see how a boxer like JDS deals with the well rounded striking game of Overeem. The kicks and knees delivered to Brock were savage.

The dude has heavy hands no doubt about that. But he's not anything remotely close to being a 'boxer'. The closest person in MMA that had a semi decent boxing technique was Arlovski.
And the only person that had a decent career in the UFC with a pro boxing background was Marcus Davis.

Yeah well, Dos Santos has good boxing for MMA but some of these idiots think he could compete in pro boxing or that he has good boxing technique.

There are few guys who have fairly decent boxing technique, JDS might be one of them, Arlovski is definitely, Anderson Silva, Eddie Albarez and Frankie Edgar come to mind as well.

What should he be called then? Brawler? Slugger? Hand-Thrower?

    :think

Well he is a boxer by MMA standards. I have no problem with that, he has some of the best boxing in MMA but I just hate people who make it out like he has amazing technical boxing.
