    :thumbsup All good, Rasta's.

I have to say that I did enjoy the brief researching I did for this, I love an excuse to actually watch some dudes who are relatively unknown outside of the countries they're from(or in the case of Davis, REWATCH). Most people like to go back to ''Classic'' boxing but I'm a proper geek for the modern game, wasting hours upon hours watching guys only to come to the conclusion that they may or may not be merely hours but still thinking it's worth it.

Lopez was a pain in the hole trying to look up. At least with Davis I had seen a couple of his fights live anyways, and added to that was able to find the remaining one or two I needed. All I could get for Alfonso was the Pavlik fights and highlights of the Williams and Romaro Johnson fights, hence there's very little in terms of the Holguin and Walker fights. Not that they mean all that much, mind.

Anybody else seen much of these two or anyone else on the card? I'm kind of leaning towards Davis but I find him too untrustworthy to stick my neck out and go for him outright.

Is that the ***** from WWF years ago? The card with Provodnikov and Ji-Hoon Kim on will be good, they are both always great to watch even if Kim was found out at world level.

Yeah, Kim, Provodnikov, Teon Kennedy, Cruz-Burgos, all guaranteed excitement. And that's only the first 6-7 weeks or so, should be an epic season.

Tell me more about Szpilka, lad. I remember you mentioning something about him to me a month or two ago and I told you that I don't really watch modern heavyweights and as a result of that hadn't seen him.

Unfortunately my CEO duties mean I have to watch him now.:verysad

Bloody hell Jpab, great research and write-up :good

I know it's the 'competition' but Shobox have a nice card on Friday night as well. Unbeaten Luis Ramos Jr takes on Ray Beltran (Pac sparring partner) and Michael Perez, who I've not seen BUT I've read a lot of good things about him, takes on a fellow undefeated fighter.

And Frankie "Pitbull" Gomez is on the undercard :yep

The only problem I have with Shobox is it starts too bloody late - 4am every time. At least with FNF you're usually getting a 2am start.
