You know, I use to like Brandon Vera before this interview. His gym in SD houses Mercito Gesta. You would think he would not have something ignorant to say like that. I wonder if Gesta wil still use his gym after hearing these comments.

Not going to rip on MMA (I personally hate the sport, but to each their own), but what an ignorant comment. It's not worth getting fired up over.

Yeah he sounds a bit douchey in this vid, but Vera is a good guy with a good heart in general. He sure is having tough times in his career, he can't seem to get out of a fight without something broken

thats what everyone said after Ali's days, Tyson's days, and De La Hoya's days were over.

dude is an idiot and should just go back to his MMGay floor dry humping ****, instead of commenting on **** he doesnt know about.

What a dumbass. Everyone said the same when De La Hoya was on his way out. There will always be new mega stars to carry the torch. There are also always an endless amount of stars to compliment the mega stars.

    Canelo Alvarez
    Gary Russell Jr.
    Yuriorkis Gamboa
    Adrian Broner
    Chavez Jr.
    Nonito Donaire
    Abner Mares
    Brandon Rios
    Kell Brook
    Benavidez Jr.

All these guys will be more famous and more successful than Vera's ****** ass can ever hope to be. The majority on the list already have more fame and money than him and they are still not at their peak.

:D I try to be reasonable. I'll watch MMA with some of my friends but it's just "meh" to me. The ground game is boring and if I'm watching striking I'd rather watch boxing.

They said after dlh/floyd was over that would be it. Yet here we still are. Boxing will be just fine.

    Yeah I can understand that.

I'm a boxing guy first and foremost but I like MMA also, even the ground game although not nearly as much as boxing.

There's nothing wrong with not liking MMA. There is something wrong with the idiots, who say it's 'gay', 'for ***s' etc. Most of those guys are closet homosexuals anyway
