If it's extraordinary for Marquez to retain some speed and power while moving up, then you should hold it even more suspicious for Pacquiao to have done so. The differences between his conditioning against Floyd and Pac were obvious and merely came down to hiring a knowledgeable professional instead of arbitrarily throwing stones n ****. Nothing mysterious about that.

 

Marquez was slower in this fight than he's looked before. His workrate was also down on previous fights.

By the way, the one minimal improvement I see is Marquez's lats; interestingly, it looks like the left side of his body juts out a little more; could this be from the left hook thrown in his orthodox stance? Just a side-thought. I never noticed any asymmetries in my body from boxing.

Juan Manuel Marquez is a damn cheater! Look at his build, he was huge. He looked 50% stronger and bigger, and was powerful. That doesn't happen by accident. Amazing to see how once this new training cheater came on board, JMM got bigger and stronger. The cheats are always one step ahead. Damn, maybe we should do Olympic style testing? JMM didn't look the same to me, and I have seen him up close before. Yep, he's cheating!!!!!!!!!
