Tito was never the man at 147lbs tho, until the Oscar fight when he truely fought the top dog of the division, and everyone knows how that went. Shane also never fought any of the other champs at 135lbs during his reign. I dont even think he was even considered the top Lightweight during his reign, nt sure about that tho.

Shane was not at LW for long. He won the title from Holiday and defended it 9 times. At WW, he got beat by Forrest twice moved up to 154 and got beat by Winky twice and moved back down to 147. Tito, yes. He won the title from Blocker and defended it I believe 16 times and moved up twice and won titles before losing to Hopkins.
Yeah, Oscar got beat. How many times did Tito defend his IBF belt @ 147? Something like 15 times? Most of those coming by KO. Didn't Tito hand Whitaker his first non-controversial loss during that time?

Defiantly a contender for the best reign ever sadly he is often overlooked because he fought at such a light weight but the guy was the definition of dominance.
Mosley was definitely the best lightweight until he moved up imo. Tito, on the other hand had mixed success at ww. From beating carr until pea beat rivera (rematch) it's fair to say tito was the best but other than that his success in the division was limited. It's also interesting to note that naysayer derides jones' title reign because it wasn't "lineal" yet he doesn't deride tito's nor mosley's.
