With the Hearns & their continuous backing of the prizefighter flop format & Franks boxnation debacle(had to close the balcony in the tiny York hall for simpson-Selby) the future for british boxing has never been at such an all time low if you ask me. Usually a rivalry means both rival camps upping their game, but it seems these two camps just want to see who can flog a dead horse the most & fight over the scraps, arguing about who is doing better in a bad situation rather than trying to save british boxing:-(
*******'s point is the major problem with boxing, too much obsession in remaining undefeated. I wish he would just talk about his own stable in his column, he looks for reasons to slag off anyone involved in boxing wwho he oesn't promote Barker and Froch weren't violently KO'd so their reps havent really been damaged, if you keep putting yourself against the best you will lose sometimes, no shame in that.
You mean he's fighting the European champ who just went the distance with one of the best fighters in the world in the weight above him? What a terrible match up atsch
Some people won't be happy unless he fights Mayweather or Pacquiao. Frank wasted pretty much all the time he had Brook after the McIntyre KO and Matchroom have to give him the type of fights and promotion he should have been getting then. Brook V's Hatton is a year late but its not the fault of the people involved now and its still a good match up.
That he reads the Twilight books and has a poster of Bieber up on his bedroom wall. Completely out of order if you ask me.
Tart, tart, tart. If taking Froch on road to fight unbeaten champion in the champion's backyard, in what will be Froch's sixth fight in seven on road, is good then I'm a Dutchman. Barry would have tried to make Froch v DeGale for QPR. That's promoting, trust me. That is what I said in the Independent column. Adios.
Hatton is terrific opponent for Kell. The last opponent was a disgrace. As for that twat McNeily...he's a fool...he was very rude to me first, trust me. Here's a fact/stat...more Brits paid to watch DeGale v Groves than have paid to watch Froch - our best fighter, by the way - in his last six fights! So, let's take him seven thousand miles away and sell 437 tickets to Brits! Froch deserves a homecoming and profile. Why would anybody want him to go and fight in Canada? Adios.
I'd much rather Froch go Seven Thousand miles selling only 437 tickets to British fans, also going to Canada, taking on the best of his division rather than sitting in his hometown fighting the Peter Manfredo Jr's of this world like a certain Fwank fighter did
If a certain promoter continually robbing the public with ridiculous phoney 'world title' fights for his boxers against blokes you've never heard of AND then not paying them is good for boxing then I'm a ruddy Dutch Antilles-man.atsch
