Yes desperate. Like it or not those communities especially the latin spend money on fights. However both communities will never fully embrace MMA as its still seen as 'Gay'.

I like MMA I just dont like the fans that follow the sport. The ones that watch it live are nothing but blood thirsty morons who care little for skill and just wanna see two guys be 'brutal' in a cage.

At least with the Japanese fans they actually get excited when they see good technique.

You then have dana white who does nothing but talk **** about boxing. This guy claimed Mayweather was bad for boxing and after DLH there was no more star power. Nice prediction Dana.

The same Dana white who talked about the bad fights in boxing and then went and made James Toney v Randy Coture. The same Dana white who used Kimbo Slice.

I remember when Chick V Quinton was made and UFC fans were saying this fight will kill boxing etc.

UFC isnt going anywhere but there PPV buyrates are down. The biggest draw Brock lesnar is gone.

Silva isnt a huge draw. GSP is injured. Nobody gives a fcuk about Dos Santos and Dos Santos v Overeem will not do huge numbers. You see Dos Santos in the cage the other night after the fight. Nobody cared that he was there and he just looked like some ufc offical rather than the HW champion.

I'm completely irrelevant at the moment and I've talked up fights and wrote cheques that my body couldn't cash on fight night. How can I get noticed again?

 UFC fans overrate this sport primarily because they're stupid. This sport isn't HALF as big as they think it is.

Vera is sooooo utterly irrelevant that it defies belief that the UFC allow their fighters to say such trash only for it to make print. Vera isn't even relevant in MMA much less for the UFC and yet he has an opinion on boxing? Did he say this himself or is he doing his masters bidding?
Every other week some UFC cretin has to pipe up about boxing when the reality is this sport is going nowhere. NO other organisation has ever tried to use boxing as leverage more than the UFC.

The buyrates are down because there's been so much injury this year, like 75% of the the originals main event had to be changed. Also the ratings are down because of the saturation, there is like 2 PPV per month now, plus the free fights on TV, it's to be expected. The UFC wouldnt be doing more and more fights if they weren't making any money.

And it's funny that sucky PPV numbers for the UFC equals 300 000 buys, you know what are sucky numbers for boxing? Like 80.

I'm not hating, I ****ing love boxing, but I've also learned to love mma.

As for the fans in attendance live, I kinda agree, there's always lots of douches, thats the main problem with this sport, the casual fans are unbearable. But there's also a lot of hardcore fans present that appreciate every single bit of technique on the ground, thats why you hear the crowd roar when a guy gets out of a armbar or go for a heelhook, they're far from being just idiots.

Dana dont talk **** about boxing, he talks **** about the way it's handle business-wise, do I have to remind you that everybody on this board also talk **** about the way the boxing business work?
