Make this fight happen. Can Kirkland rough Cotto up with relentless pressure or does Cotto outbox the not as skilled opponent.

Amazing.....you sound like you believe this. Lol... Miguel wouldn't have punched himself out like Angulo did. Cotto would have ended Kirkland in the 1st round had that been him in there instead of Angulo. Kirkland is dangerous......has heart and the mentality but he is severely limited defensively and doesn't have a read strategy when he fights. It is just go out guns blazing and I love it! I just know that means he's not going to reach the level of his hype. Cotto TKO James...

As long as the Gmen don't see the Saints I can envision another Super Bowl ring in 2012.

TC continues on his Anti-Cotto agenda. He's a Brit though, he can go watch his heroes Hatton get whacked by ring post and KOed UNCONSCIOUS, Khan KTFO and running scared and Froch look lost in a sea of quicksand.

I'm not sold on Cotto @154, I think he has been well matched. Kirkland is too big and powerful for Cotto. We're talking about a guy who started at 140 against the hardest puncher at 154 who barely makes the weight.

Really, I'd like to see Kirkland in with Mayorga. Ricardo would talk so much **** during the pressers, I would want to see how James handles it mentally. And Ricardo can take a good punch and has some pop of his own.

Would Kirkland beat Angulo in a rematch?

Mayorga was bigger to, he weighed over 170 on fight night and Cotto managed to stop him.

Cotto's skill is overrated. He was flat out running from 1 eyed Margarito...a guy who is a career arm puncher.

Cotto is at a point now where if it doesn't make money, it does not make sense.

This fight is not happening......yet. Maybe if Kirkland does something spectacular.

    Agreed.

Kirkland comes at you more quickly with harder punches than Margarito or Mayorga. Cotto would go into panic mode early.

We have a better chance of seeing Alvarez-Cotto than Kirkland-Cotto anyways.

kirkland can beat you up but his power is over rated he had to beat that helpless dude against the ropes for how many rounds before the guy couldn't fight no more? and he still didn't ko him

he could very well stomp the **** out of cotto but it's gonna take all damn night to do it this isn't a blow out
