Aside from Anderson Silva the rest have pretty much struggle.

Big Noguiera and shogun rua won the title but the rest have struggle.

Wanderlei Silva--u could say age have caught up to him but he was still good when he came from pride
Mirko Crocop- i thought he was gonna come in and destroy arlovski and sylvia after winning the grand prix but his been a disappointment.

    sokoudju-nakumara-herring-werdum etc

And what happen to the rest? Even rua has struggle mainly due to his injuries but the expectation were high when they came in. Rua was a beast in pride but in the ufc his record is only 4-4 :deal

Rampage was doing ok at first but has been losing lately.

Henderson still hasn't won a title in the ufc.

Big nog had some success early but is done now especially after that injury

    Aside from silva :deal

Hunt seems to be doing alright in the UFC. Overeem just smashed Brock. Hendo just signed with UFC and his first fight in was with Shogun. He has a case for the fight being stopped in the 3rd, but regardless it was a FOTY candidate.

If Pride didn't succumb to yakuza politics, they'd still be putting on the best MMA shows in the world.

Not much difference between the Yakuza and the Ferrita's. Both are/were/had connections to the Mafia/mob. The only difference is Lorenzo was the inside man that 'worked' for the regulators.
And the scandal that was the result of the connections to the Yakuza was what led to PRIDE's demise. Culturally in Japan -because of PRIDE's huge success- that was a massive no no.

    :huh

How can anyone find this difficult to understand? It's unbelievably clear and obvious.

Who were the main guys in the UFC during the heyday of Pride???

NEWSFLASH! - Fighters get old, decline, and start to lose. How anyone can think this is unique to the fighters from Pride is utterly mind-boggling. The UFC guys of the same era have fared every bit as badly, if not worse. The issue is age and wear n tear, not what organization they came from!!!!

Sorry, but you deserve a big: :patsch for this thread. It's too obvious.

:patsch Crocop just won the pride fc grand prix before coming to ufc and got KTFO in his second fight in the ufc and he was never the same since.

Shogun is still young but do have shot knees still 4-4 in the ufc.
    nakamura-sokoudju-gomi are not old
Wanderlei silva has had lots of wars in pride fc but he could still fight.
Dan Henderson i can understand cuz he ran into anderson.

There were high expectations for many of these fighters when they came from pride and many has been a disappointment. :deal

I can't explain what I've already explained any clearer. Read my post and stop being a ******. All the UFC fighters FROM THE SAME ERA have had the EXACT SAME form of decline. AGE and WEAR N TEAR is the issue, not organization of origin.

If you honestly think the likes of Wanderlei, Gomi and Crocop were still as fit, healthy, hungry and physically potent throughout their UFC campaigns as they were at their Pride peaks, you're a ****ing idiot. Sorry. :-(

Anyone fancy explaining to 'Vitor Belfort' that a PRIME Chuck Liddell went over to Pride and got smashed up by Rampage, or that a PRIME Vitor Belfort went over to Pride and during his campaign there got beaten by Sakuraba, Henderson, and submitted by Overeem?

So where is the "What's up with PRIME ufc fighters going over to Pride and getting ****ed up?" thread???

    go make one:hi:

yea yea we know age is a factor but like i said crocop just ****ing won the grand prix before coming in the ufc. Age is not the only factor but the rules also is a lil different from pride.

when he got KTFO by gabriel gonzaga he said he was still dizzy from getting elbowed when he was on the ground. Since he wasn't used to defending elbows in pride.

I suppose you have two groups of fighters that operate with slightly different rules. I remember when Bath and Wigan played two games one rugby league rules and one rugby union. bath hammered them at union and Wigan hammered Bath at league. Then Pride folds and the fighters all go to the UFC and have to adapt to a set of rules that the other guys have developed along with. The guys that have done well fought in other orgs and often the UFC before Pride. I don't know, who cares. This whole Pride V UFC is a bit pointless now.
