the wbo ratings at lhw plenty of fighters that would be able to fight nathan for his homecoming fight ,wouldn't break the bank and he would be a favourite , so how come an unranked inactive clubfighter was picked

Fans want a happy medium, nobody is saying fight Cloud for peanuts, we all respect boxers need to earn a living but are you telling us there isn't a better fight than this available?

Yes, Steve. Yes I would. I'd prefer he fought Cloud for peanuts than fighting Karpecency for peanuts. Which do you prefer?

Is he only allowed to fight a decent fighter if he's getting millions for it? I don't understand. Who is he even going to fight to generate mega bucks? Hopkins, maybe. Even he's not a massive draw, but maybe in Wales it'd make some money. Who else?! Cleverley is not a big name fighter precisely because he's never fought anybody worth a ****, he needs to step up his game in order to not receive peanuts and that means taking risks.

Clev vs Cloud would be a big fight with great exposure in the US and if Clev won he would set himself up for a massive payday vs Hopkins. Boxing fans would be buzzing to watch the fight and see if Clev could do it and make a name for himself in the states. That is the kind of fight BN subscribers deserve actually.

On the other hand he can fight against karpency in a fight that he will be 1/100 to win.

The unfortunate thing is that the majority of british boxing fans are mugs. They will watch the fight. They have already paid to see the fight actually. Idiots. No doubt they will renew their subscription when ****** makes a big card in 6 months that forces them to renew.

It's pretty funny actually. This **** wouldn't be going on if ****** didn't think he could get away with it.

Just seeing that WBO list depresses me. The fact that Clev's fighting someone not even good enough to be named on that is even more laughable. Then again.. fighting only one round in over 18 months is easily forgettable I guess.

Eddie Hearn has said on camera that Matchroom just about break even with boxing. It is their other sporting interests which make Matchroom a profit. Other promoters do not have that luxury. Besides, Matchroom only has a small stable, which is easier to manage. Eddie can feed his fighters to the lions until their stock plummets. By which time a new fighter comes along and the process can then continue. Frank has a lot of fighters to support he can't keep losing money on shows.

The Super Six gave Froch an unprecedented run of fights that people are now taking for granted. Even the Super Six had problems. Look at the pull-outs and delays. Look at the poor attendance for the final. Who is gonna pay for Hopkins or Dawson to come to the uk?

It is easy for fans to demand the big fights when they don't have put them together. They can watch Cleverly be scraped off the canvas and then switch over to SKY for the Maloney card. Fans are not responsible for running promotional companies and managing fighters careers.

To fair Frank deserves a lot of credit. In 2011 he put his fighters in many risky fights. We had the domestic showdowns we all wanted. Frank is also putting Chisora in with the best.

Let Cleverly have the easy homecoming. If is continues like this, then complain. If Cleverly got thrashed in a big fight no-one would begrudge him an easy comeback.

Throughout the year Boxnation will represent value for money. People need to relax and stop expecting a superfight to be announced every other afternoon.

Not disagreeing with your sentiment, but I don't think fighting the likes of Cloud and Shemunov would do more for his profile than the fella he's signed to fight. Your average fan doesn't know the difference between a solid contender a Fwank imported journeyman.

Someone like Roy Jones Junior, as disgusting as it would be to see happen, would be a name that would definitely help him on his way to becoming a name. I'm just playing devil's advocate.
