Bit of a generalization there. What do you mean? Black African Caribbean, Black African, perhaps you are being old school and consider the Irish Black, which is where the term may of originated from.

Yes there were exceptional Irish fighters and there have been exceptional Black fighters who emigrated here, or had families that emigrated here. There also were some exceptional white fighters too boot!

One commonly held view is that boxers tend to come from deprived areas where fighting and crime is common place, it is not a secret that the majority of these places is made up of ethnic minorities you do the math there is simply more black boxers. I would also note being of Afro carribean decent may give some advantages such as having more fast twitch fibers or higher muscle density but a cerebral fighter has a bigger advantage, in short most of the time the better boxing brain wins **** all to do with colour.
