6 pages in and not one mention of Eubank Jr.

Any reason for this gents (hennessey connections etc) or nobody genuinely a fan? Im no fan or anything, only seen the odd bit of footage on youtube and his fight on the Fury undercard, just curious or is it just plain and simply there are better prospects out there?

Only had one fight that didn't tell me too much about him, I'd need to see more before I considered him any sort of prospect.

I think many don't wanna jump gun on this kid, i think he's very promising but some may be looking for a hidden talent. I think most around here are intrigued by Jr.

I'm really looking forward to Anthony Agogo's career to kick off. Seriously, i think this guy will be the next David Haye in terms of media success and sponsorship.

He's got that flare and flamboyancy.

I still think Rhys Roberts has a future, he looks so ****ing slick at times! Needs a inside game though mind as I think he could be rushed on the inside like Choi did. All depends on his mindset now though and if his hands hold up!

He bottled it that night sadly, you got to raise concerns about his want when he looked like a rabbit in headlights. George Jupp boxed Choi really well and could of got a decision it was that close. Plus Roberts also pulled out of a fight with a broken hand against a Journeyman (decent one!). Obviously could be a bad break but many have broken hand early and have got on with it. Just a bit worrying when you look at both occasions. Is he more style over substance?.

After last nights display from Eubank Jnr thought i'd bump the thread, now last night i caught final 3 rounds of action properly. There was a thread that many felt was harsh on Young Chris and i have to agree but could understand certain parts of the TS views on him.

Now his first fight he fought a walking punchbag, Chris showed a array of punches but none really dented the opponent enough to cause a stoppage. What i did like was his willingness to throw punches from different angles and let his hands go. He wanted to put a show on and that's great. I remember DeGale's debut when he fought a similar mindset and struggled.

Now i believe his hand was injured because he wouldn't throw it and even in eye of a light storm he never used it. I commend his want to fight and liked the way he kept fighting and didn't run away.

What Chris though lacks at the moment is thought in his work, last night he was throwing hollywood punches with one hand. He didn't work the jab well from what i saw but landed nice left hooks to body. He often throws flashy punches and loses posture and his punch form at times can be ragged.

For me he was put in with a low level but willing fighter and came through, Chris before the fight had a lot to learn and nothings changed. I worry about him defensively with low left hand and relying on reflexes i'd like him to tighten up but he was never going to be a work of art so early into career.

They may need to follow the Chavez Jr route of a lot of fights, build him up slowly without going silly. He will need to operate at a slower pace then maybe Ryder and the likes of Groves and DeGale. He needs ring time and may need a few small hall off tv shows like Groves had. His father had a fantastic jab and i think it's something he needs to add to game. He needs to work a lot of keeping in stance and balanced as he punches. The spectacular punches need to be thrown at right times he needs to settle behind fundamentals.

He's not bad, good luck to kid. Ryder's the one to watch out for from middleweight prospects at the moment IMO. Chris maybe in years time will have developed a bit more to talk big about.

I think it was his corner's decision to pull him out of that one.

:good I see, i'm not overly impressed by Rhys mentality i felt his display in final is what made Hatton's get rid. I was shocked at how negative he was tbh.
