Taylor did not lose cause his corner told him to go for the KO, he lost cause Froch beat him down in the last rounds of the fight and stopped him. That fight is not too important when comparing the 2 fighters - Taylor is not even that good of a fighter and Froch's wins over AA, Dirrell, Pascal and possibly Johnson are better. My point is, Pavlik v AA would still be a good match up. And anyone who uses AA's misadventure in the Super 6 as a reason to say that Pavlik was always better is underestimating the quality of the fighters AA ran into during the tourny.
The difference is that most of Mayweather's obnoxious persona is an act to sell PPV's. I don't give Arthur enough credit to be that clever. The dumb mean self-centered jock schtick isn't a schtick. :yep
in both the Froch and AA fights stamina was a problem, but it was made to be even more of a problem. it does not mean that from now on everyone who takes Taylor into the last rounds of a fight and applies pressure will KO him. Anyways, like I said, I don't rate Taylor that highly.
Yet he outboxed Froch for 35 minutes in a 36 minute fight and put Froch on his ass for the first time in his career. Do you even read what you post?
That is mostly myth. As far as I remember, the fight would have been a draw if Froch won the last round. And that even in the US. Froch was winning the second half clearly and would not have lost even if there was no KO.
Not true. and you only care about raising Taylor's rep cause he is the best thing on Pavlik's resume by a million miles.
