Mosley fight did 1.10 million PPV buys
    Mayweather-Ortiz 1.25
    Cotto-Margarito II 600K

"Manny Pacquiao became the third fighter ever to headline two shows in one year that topped one million buys, establishing himself as the pay-per-view king of 2011.

In drawing 1.41 million buys for his Nov. 12 fight with Juan Manuel Marquez, coming on the heels of 1.10 million buys for his May 7 fight with Shane Mosley, Pacquiao joins Mike Tyson and Brock Lesnar in the select group.

Tyson headlined three shows in 1996 that topped the one million mark: against Evander Holyfield, Bruce Seldon and Frank Bruno. Lesnar, as UFC heavyweight champion, did so twice in 2010, with his title defense against Shane Carwin and title loss to Cain Velasquez."

they posted this in the other thread, but where's the source for their numbers? It's saying Pac/Shane did 1.1 million now also, so what's going on?

    1.41m? not bad at all!

Just imagine how many watched the fight internationally, seeing Pacquiao get drilled with them right hands... whew.. no wonder Bob Arum is further keeping him from Manny.

Where are the "official" numbers for Floyd vs Ortiz? I don't think Schaffer is anymore reliable than Arum.

Who cares really who sells more, its childish to argue about it.
Truth is fights that do 1 mil+ are very good, cotto's 600k is good as well, time to get the hype machine started for cotto vs canelo I say that could top that number.

The writer would've done the proper research to get those numbers, or he has insiders at the cable companies or whoever counts the PPVs. They're rounded off to the ten's of thousands, they don't seem like projections or estimates. But yeah, he doesn't give a source. He's not a paid Arum writer, that can be dismissed immediately.

jesus christ, can we have a thread with some positive news in it without it devolving into another pac vs. floyd jerkathon? Are you guys boxing fans or what? Stop trolling for just a few minutes of your lives, please.
