Right... If we ignore all this **** about officials and men in hats and whatnot for a second and just concentrate on what went on in the ring you can see that nothing untoward took place and Peterson beat Khan fairly. What the hat man was doing doesn't really have an effect on the outcome as it was a fair call. Khan lost, he should rebuild and move on rather than dwelling on this idiocy.
So the WBA have 24 hours to come up with a name, job role and alibi (sorry cant think of english word for alibi) for 'Hatman'. I'll guess his name will be something like Xavier Marshall - The Part Time Chief Head Superintendant Supervisory Interim Commissioner for the WBA - He was not noted on the staff manifest due to security reasons he has to keep a low profile as he also does security work at the whitehouse. Plausible?!
Was the guy hatman was talking to even a judge then? Granted it looks a bit fishy, but I doubt it's some guy fidelling the score cards.
Khan won a close fight on my scorecard even after the deductions. Strange things went on outside the ring which do need to be explained, if they turn out to have had no effect on the result then fair enough but it does need to be looked at imo.
Are hats even allowed to be worn in Washington DC? I'm sure there's something in the constitution saying "no more hats in DC". This is a disgrace.
I scored it to Khan too, but can see how it could be scored the other way. This is getting unwarranted attention over things in the sport that are clearly dodgy and not just conspiracy theories.
I think this is clearly dodgy & everyone loves a good conspiracy Hat Man must have some credentials to get past security & sit down next to the judges all night. Somebody must know who Hat Man is & why he was ringside, all I'd like is an explanation.
That's what they, the officials, are investigating now. At the moment it's just speculation. And they, Khan's lot, are asking the questions. Not giving the answers.
Which why Khan wants the rematch. That's all he's asking for. If there's a chance that scores weren't tallied up consistently and the correct result wasn't given, then he's gonna' use that as leverage to demand a rematch. That's what all of this is about.
