no, from memory barrera was never in that first fight, besides a 10-8 round from that bogus KD. Cotto was matching Pacquiao in the early going, even after the first KD he outboxed Pacquiao. It was the second KD that ruined him and his chances.

REMATCHES are for close fights. Not for a one sided beatdown.

This exactly how i see a Pac-Cotto rematch going.

Cotto does better, but is much more cautious..Gets beaten up at the end either way, losing by UD.

As much as I love Cotto, his footwork was a mess and sloppy. Paquiao keep turning him to his left and Miguel was unable to counter that.

I must say that Cotto had some great moments and the first four rounds were sick!

IMHO Cotto was weight drained, his corner had no advise for him and was handicaped because of it. To make it worse, the recent loss of his father and other personal issues were huge distractors.

Currently, with his new corner and having fought his demons and if he can flex some muscle and keep the fight above 150LBS, Ill say that Miguel has a really good chace to beat the Pac on a rematch.

His case for another shot is that he had some genuine early success against Pacquiao FWIW, did better against him overall than anyone (except JMM just recently) since Pacquiao moved up from SFW, has made some improvements since, and really there is nobody else who's a more legitimate challenge in Pacquiao's weight range...except for that 800lb gorilla/dog.

Cotto wins this remtach. As I have said before, Pac caught Cotto at the most opportune time. He was at the lowest point in his career and Roach said, "Let's do it! Not only that, let's drain him too!"

Some of you guys are something else. This is boxing where men fight and if they want to avenge any loss, that should be commended and not **** upon.

Why the **** would the great Joe Louis seek a rematch with Max Schmeling if he was KTFO in the first fight? By today's standards, you "fans" wouldn't want to see a rematch since Joe was knockdown once and then knocked out by Max.

I give him a very fair chance, but to declare with certainty that Cotto takes it is extremely bold. Props for going against the grain. :good

    Excellent points on the rest.

First if I were Cotto id say 154 or no fight

Second Cotto hit Pac with his best shot and didnt seem to really due much

Third Cotto could try to repeat what Marquez did but i dont think he is quick enough skilled enough or capable of doing it for 12 rounds

i could see Cotto make it closer and run more and take less of a beating but no way does he play keep away for 12 rounds
