All Mitchell said was that he would 'love for the fight to happen at Upton park' because it would be a 'dream to return to the stadium'. He wasn't demanding anything
End of the day they're both ****** fighters, it will be where makes business sense. Thats the bottom line. If it makes sense in Scotland, it will be in Scotland. If it doesn't, it'll be in London. Simple as that, no two ways about it, all Frank cares about is how much money it makes and considering Billy intimated that Hearn isn't a great promoter for taking big risks I find it astonishing that he is seemingly unaware of the economics behind where a fight takes place and thinks all that matters is who is champ.
You could drive to Celtic park in ten mins from Airdrie. Half hour for Ibrox, plenty of buses leave to go to both. Far more than turn up to watch Airdrie. The local area is called "the monklands" and comprises of Airdrie and Cotabridge. It would be a huge event for locals. Airdrie and Coatbridge population would be about 70-80000 combined.
i would love to see this fight. Burns would edge this but i have a feeling it would be a epic fight..
The London population is over 6 million! Airdrie just doesn't make sense. If it is that close to Celtic, have it there.
I would have to favour Burns as well, Im not saying Mitchell can't win, I just don't think he will, his lack of activity will count against him and will his attitude, add the fact Burns looks very strong at the weight and confident, I think it will be a long night for Kevin.
Close half the stadium, have the fight up one end of the ground, and you will automatically lose 30,000 seats. Close the top tier and you have a 20,000 seater stadium. It is very common for boxing events to do this
I think it's funny that you a while ago after the Murray/Mitchell fight you said Mitchell had "done nothing to deserve a fight with Ricky" and he should fight Katsidis again to earn a fight with Ricky and now it looks like you have signed to fight Crolla... are you taking the ****? Sorry I forgot that Crolla beat the world rated Willie "Way Past His Best" Limond to get his shot at a interim champion. you joker :rofl
