This was my first thought. If it weren't on a Mexican holiday, I would say this is my favorite for the fight that will get made. Because it's Cinco De Mayo, I'm not sure.
@danrafaelespn Dan Rafael Arum sounded very surprised by the news of Mayweather's continuance. Says now Manny "likely" to go in June. Didnt sound interested in Floyd.
I've said the same thing for a long time. I think Pac only has three fights left, maybe four: June 2012; November 2012; Spring/Summer 2013; (maybe) Fall 2013. At some point, he has to start seriously campaigning for the Sarangani governorship (election in 2013). I'm not sure in what month that election takes place, but I doubt Pac will be able to fight once the campaign starts up in earnest. So, no Pac-PBF in May 2012. You have 2-3 dates left then for Pac. I highly doubt PBF will be any of them. Guess we'll find out.
LOL..."moved on", who are they signed to fight? Oh that's right nobody, how is manny's cut...it's fine was trying to fight on May 5th, what about OSDT...Team Manny "agreed", purse split...Manny said he would accept and deserves less than 50/50 (which money won't ask for), so there should be nothing to "work out". They've "moved on"...LOL, I bet they have, I bet they have...LOL.
when's the last time a Mexican headlined a huge first weekend in May PPV? Pacquiao-Mosley Mayweather-Mosley Pacquiao-Hatton
I'm not saying what the PR dance will end up being, just what I think is likely to happen. Seems that Dan Rafael agrees -- Arum not interested in Floyd on May 5.
What? I'm shocked...no way Arum/Manny would miss an opportunity to fight PBF. These cats blow my ****ing mind, but more these jack offs that sit and support this ****...unreal.
Good point. My first thought, without regard to date, is PBF-Cotto. Big draw, good recent win, promotional free agent, supposedly met or was going to meet with Team Floyd in December 2011 in Vegas at the WBC annual convention. Also, if Floyd beats Cotto, then that lessens Cotto's value for Pac-Cotto II. So, you get to possibly hurt your rivals. It makes a lot of sense. Floyd needs a big draw to work with after the Ortiz fight. Cotto is the perfect guy here, IMO.
Of course he isn't...he's not been interested in PBF/Manny on any date. Your boy and his team have taken ducking to an entirely different level. WTF Arum mean...not interested, how the **** are you not interested in the fight? After all the bull**** he's spread about PBF/GBP/etc now he's "not interested", ****ing pathetic...seriously.
