I might man it out and watch Shobox.

 

I expect Kennedy to come back strong from his loss. If he has the mental strength to cope with the death of an opponent, he has the mental strength to rebound from a loss and learn from it. Can't wait for that fight!

Is there a seperate ShoBox thread or will jpab not notice if we continue the night of boxing in here?

 

This is Friday Night Fights though fellas. You have to learn to manage those expectations and keep it relative. If you've been watching for years you'll be desensitized to a snoozer. Makes the odd barn-burner so much better when it comes round.

 

Have to get permission from the chairman of the board. Wait for his blessing...

 

I didn't think it was as bad as some of the others thought - but I didn't have high expectations based on Davis' lack of experience and Lopez's style. Styles make fights, after all.

Couple of good fights on Shobox tonight.

Anyway. Fell asleep and forgot about FNF.. thank **** for that

Did record it though and just caught up. The first fight was pretty decent I thought. I had Denis Douglin (Black Doug as I called him) winning and was glad he got the decision. Teddy seemed to want to give it to the other guy just cuz he was unbeaten atsch But it was close. Joe and Teddy kind of half taking the **** out of his mum was pretty funny. "What if he gets a bloody nose and she starts crying about it, that's not gonna help"

Man that main event was dull. Joe and Teddy constantly talking about American football summed it up. Looks like that experience for Davis fighting in Bristol :roll: meant **** all and he was still pretty poor with flashes of decency.

But I still enjoyed watching it overall. The presentation is just superb and I never get tired of hearing Joe and Teddy on comms, with Teddy comparing Pacquiao/Marquez 4 as "a scoop of ice cream too much" being particularly funny.

Next week.. I'ma try and stay up :good
