this should be enough to show that floyd has enough cause to believe what he said

That's not how defamation suits work. Manny has to prove Floyd wrong before the lawsuit can proceed. Floyd only has to prove one of the following: That he was telling the truth; that he believed it and didn't intended it to hurt Manny Pacquiao or his career; or that what he said didn't damage Manny Pacquiao in any way.

Manny has to prove all three false.

So that includes the Doctors in the Philippines right?

NSAC mandatory drug test isn't even enough right?

All records... Meaning even during the start of Pacman's career?

Why they don't gather the evidence themselves? They can start with NSAC, and go to Philippines if its not enough.

    ****ing lazy.

That's why it's not a given. If the court orders Manny and his team to do it, then Floyd and his team get off easy. If not, I'm sure they will do their own research. The problem is, a lot of this is personal information. (not so easily acquired)

The only record Floyd camp can get are all mandatory result from NSAC. Something that has to do with the sport, and who actually do the testing themselves, And they're all negative.

What they're doing is a ****ing witch hunt.

All they have to do is give some sort of evidence that Manny MIGHT be or have been on something. Remember, he only has to prove one and he wins the case. That's why they're looking for symptoms.

If the gloves don't fit, don't convict.

Does this mean you can openly defame somebody by accusing them of absolutely anything, costing them masses amount of money to fight you in a law suit then win your law suit by saying "prove you're not"?

Is Uncle Rog his ****ing lawyer or something? This guy is more of a ****** than Ortiz.

what's worst is that Floyd was claiming that he never accussed pacman of taking PED. And now they want Pacman to turn in evidence that he migth be taking it.

    that's ******ed. :yep

    Two things:

First of all, Pac has the burden of proof to prove that Mayweather's statement was a lie, which means he has to prove that he has never used steroids. And this cannot be done simply by providing NSAC results.

Second, this is not a criminal case where the state is prosecuting Manny, so the "innocent until proven guilty" reference lets me know from the start that we are dealing with some misguided people here. Pac is bringing the lawsuit, so he is the one who has to prove the statement false, and since he's a public figure, he has to prove that Mayweather knew it was false.

    Not looking good.

so the mayweather team doesnt have to even speak on their comments that got them into court in the first place?

assuming pac does bring everything he needs and shows hes clean, floyd loses?
just trying to comprehend your theory

manny needs to show that floyd knew he was telling lies, did so with the intent to hurt pac, and caused pac harm

if he refuses to show his med history, or there are holes in his drug testing record (fake doc names or having foot doctors controlling the tests, broken chains of custody, general b/s, etc.) it would show that floyd could have believed what he said

just like with anything else in the legal web.....interpretation, presentation, smoke screens ect ect
this could drag out for years

the intent is obvious...its meant to down play his accomplishments, his wins....
whether he knew it was a lie? well if he doesnt know 100% whether Pac is or was or has never used steriods then i dont see what difference that makes....if hes not sure..he shouldnt have said it...if he is sure..he better have something to back it up...
where is the precedent that an athlete has suffered damages due to being wrongly accused of steroid use? might not be one...but it may set one.... he may not have suffered any damage from it (probably hasnt, he makes more and more each fight) but either way, its worth something if it was said and it comes back on floyd...damages or not...if it makes it that far
