Same here. I want a dedicated boxing channel so I don't mind paying the first years sub as a show of support. If it's **** or goes bust after that time then so be it. At least I've given the idea a fair crack of the whip, unlike some...;-)
If you want it to work so badly why dont you put additional investment in and help a bit more, maybe become a shareholder? that would help even more.
Could have both, if the channel really takes off you can sit all day on your yacht in Monte Carlo watching it!
Because I'm a normal working bloke. that sort of venture capital is as far out of my league as s tenner a month seems to be out of yours.
So what does this prove? It proves that Sky shouldn't bother investing in boxing either doesn't it? the investment of paying to show boxing does not bring in enough incremental revenue to make it worthwhile. Something's got to give. Pay boxers less to suit the reduced demand? Or increase demand by improving the product/exposure? We'd all like it to be the second but the first is both more likely. If neither, then boxing will just fold.
When I'm paying over £50 a month for Sky already then yes an extra tenner is unacceptable. Most of fish eyes support base has come from Sky viewers anyway. So Gareth don't sit there and criticise those who won't pay a tenner for fish eyes wank shows when your the fat nobhead too tight to pay for Sky u *****
i will pay for any channel that shows boxing so long as it is not owned by a murdoch, but if you got no gripe with people like that i can see why you might prefer sky.
Chaming Oliver. Its always reassuring to me when we disagree on an issue, a little creepy the way you follow me around, but still reassuring. The fact you, as (apparently) a boxing fan, find no problem in giving Murdoch £50 a month for Sky, inc having to pay extra to watch it in more than one room or to record programs, but don't want to spend a tenner on a dedicated boxing channel is a little ****ed up priority wise IMHO.
TBH though I think I would rather have SkySports than just a dedicated Boxing channel and to be fair since BoxNation started, the Boxing on SKY has been as good if not better than BoxNation.
Isn't that like saying the only people who can criticize boxers are people who have boxed themselves??
I haven't it's toilet, I want more for my tenner simple as that really. What they are dishing out at the moment simply isn't good enough really. :nono
Too many folks are missing the real point here and sniping over a tenner a month sub.The real issue is,the concept of Boxnation is ****ing superb, but if they dont get their finger oot their farters then its not going to last which will be a shame. For a product to grow from a root,it has to be exciting and grab your attention to make it successful, but they are failing to do that.Picture quality is poor, commentating ****ing ropey at best although Bunce is enthusiastic he spouts some keech at times which puts many folks off. They either need to get a grip or get knocked the **** out.
I have got Boxnation and I don't care if its only 1 show a week as long as it a good card with no mismatches, especially the main event. Im still angry about the Cleverly fight but will let it go this time, any more of them type of fights and Im gone, simple.
