Scott had serious drug problems and his psychoses were probably drug induced and episodic. Monzon and Ayala (from what I read) were mainly violent towards women, Teddy Atlas punked his ass on national TV once and I nearly stood up and cheered. Butler liked the sucker punch and reportedly had a mental illness, and Ike most likely had boxing related mental problems.

Of the bunch, I would say Valero and Liston were the most stone violent characters toward everyone they met, with Valero coming out ahead in that category. Liston knew when to shut up, and the big time gangsters would occasionally give him **** just so they could look like big shots, disrespecting the HW champ of the world. Valero, by all accounts, purely didn't give a **** and scared just about everyone he came into contact with, men who've been in the fight game all their lives. He would regularly smack up his stable mates on social occasions, and reportedly got drunk and knocked his buddy Ponce De Leon completely the **** out in a fight at a casino. Nobody at any gym ever had anything good to say about him, but they were real cautious about saying anything overly negative either. I think he just made the hair on the back of your neck stand up when he was around.

I believe I read that Stanley Ketchel was a really hard and violent guy outside the ring too.
