Canelo would lay Pacquiao out. No denying that.

**** that **** canelo was playing with Gomez and was being a slick Ginger because he had no respect for the light hitting Gomez.. every fighter gets touched **** Judah had some success with may doesn't mean anything as he later got whooped on just like Gomez whos faced was all bruised up and as it was nearing it's end Gomez was tiring and gassing and his shots carried no power.. that's why canelo became a slick Ginger as mayweather is one of his favorite fighters and he must have been testing out what he sees... he had some success doing it and it look funny :D he also made some slick black American fans I bet lmao.

Because Martinez already has a fight scheduled against Matthew Macklin in March. No way he could get another fight in May

I don't think Ortiz is really any better than some guys Gomez has beaten, namely JSK and even shot/blown-up JLC.

Especially if it was at 154, as I don't see Ortiz improving if he moves up. Quite the opposite.

I'm a Gomez fan so I'm bias, but at the least I think a fight between Gomez and Ortiz would be competitive. Ortiz has nice physical gifts, but questionable heart, chin, and lacks some fundamental skills, Gomez has the heart, chin, and fundamental skills, but lacks the physical gifts. One thing guaranteed is that Gomez would throw a lot of punches and Ortiz will get tagged for as long as it goes.

Canelo is more dangerous than Ortiz for Floyd, but probably still too green to put a dent in Floyd at this point in his career. He needs more seasoning on defense and needs to learn how to use a jab to set things up.

Ortiz was off a career defining fight as an underdog against an unbeaten prodigy

    Canelo has fought who ????

    Mayweather would absolutley batter him

Forget about Mayweather's mental state cause the whole family is nuts to start with. Floyd won't feel anything after so many opponents beaten and so much pressure put on his back. However, I do agree Canelo has nothing to do with Ortiz b'sides the fact that they are young. Canelo is heavy handed alright and he put on a display against Cintron that beats Ortiz win against Berto in my opinion but Canelo would need much more than power alone to stand a good chance against Floyd... Look at Pscar, Shane and Zab and their power or Baldomir and his strength and what results did that have? Floyd always gets away with his jabs, counter punches, rolling and side-stepping and Canelo's power won't mean ****... And I'm definetily not a Floyd fan!

You call Berto an unbeaten prodigy but then ask who Canelos beaten...who has Berto beaten? A faded Collazo in a fight many thought he'd lost?

I never said Alvarez beats Floyd, he just has a much better (punchers) chance than Ortiz did.

Canelo could be a very good win on Floyds Resume in years to come. Canelo could become a Multi-weight world champ in the future. Only problem is people will say Canelo was green. Which would be true
