You people act like all Pacquiao has to do is just sign a fight contract, Mayweather wants his blood all the way up till fight hour, he wants a suit dropped and there's probably something else the guy wants on top of it.

This fight doesn't happen until Pacquiao leaves Top Rank and then submits to everything Floyd wants IMO.

Pacquiao wants it, but he's not going to give himself a disadvantage either physically or mentally, Roach won't allow it.

Does Pac want it? Sure, he's said as much on several occasions. And Floyd's too much of a money-hungry ***** not to want it. So this fight will happen eventually. If not in May then in November, if not in November then early next year. There's too much money to be made for it not to happen. Any fights in between 'till then are just business decisions. Both guys got 2 years max left in their careers. They'd be plenty stupid if at least one of their remainning 3-4 fights isn't against one another. But expect both guys to take highly profitable "safe" fights in the meantime. Does the fight lose luster the longer they hold off? Not necessarily, as long as there's no one to challenge their status as the two main attractions in the sport. In all seriousness, all these accusations of duck is just the same mindless flamewar you'd expect from both sides.

The thing that gets me is, despite the fact that Pacquiao isn't the type to call guys out, he has to know how badly everyone wants to see him fight Mayweather. He no doubt has people coming up to him all the time asking him about it. I seriously doubt if he goes a day w/o hearing about it while out in public, so....why is he so nonchalant about the whole thing? I just don't get it.

I think Arum has a lot to do with it - he's probably most to blame, actually, but Pac doesn't get away scott free. If he wanted it, it probably would have happened by now.

Pac's on record in saying he wants the fight. He's also conceded to Floyd's OSTD demands, not to mention a lower purse. Think about it, he's the world's most popular fighter and he's conceding the lower purse. That much alone should tell you that Pac wants to fight Floyd. What else do you want the man to do? Floyd's making him jump through hoops and *****s still think he's ducking.

Err... Floyd won't move an inch until the lawsuit is cleared.

    You must have forgotten that?

All this bull**** are meaningless unless Floyd's demand is satisfied.

The reason most boxing fans (The whole ***** thing has lost its luster) believe that Pac at least has some reluctance, is because he continues to allow Arum to make embarassing excuses in his name.

Pac is the boss. Arum acts on his behalf. Pac is smart enough to know this.

The same could be said about Floyd. All Floyd has to do is call out Pac now and there'd be too much public pressure for the fight not getting made. Don't hold your breathe when they make their big announcement though. Look at it from both sides of the coin.

BTW when I use the term "*****" I'm not referring to most boxing fans, I'm referring to *****s.

What else can he do? How about make fighting FMJ - giving the fans what we want, his no 1 priority? If he goes to Arum and emphatically states that he wants the fight, what else would there be to prevent it - besides Arum? If Arum still refuses, they need to find a promoter who won't.

Fair enough, but it's a bit egregious to say that boxing should be his number one priority when he's busy helping his immediate people with typhoon relief, building hospitals as such, and basically handing free prizes to the needy in his own game show. And not to mention he actually has a real job as a Congressman.

But lemme ask you, do you hold Floyd under the same criteria? What has he done to make this fight besides backtracking from his statement that he wants to fight the lil fella next?

I'm not gonna be bothered to watch a 9 minute video of Floyd going on about how great he is. If Floyd wants Pac in may 5th he should put on the full court press and call him out when they announce their big announcement. Simple as that. Call him out in major media outlets and Pac would have no choice but to fight him for the public pressure would be too overwhelming. Don't hold your breath...

it still mayweather's fault, he's the one who wants to control everything. Who the **** comes up with a date saying I will be fighting on May 5th in Las Vegas with no negotiation with the other party. I can see why Arum refuses to deal with Mayweather now, he has already been down this road the past 2 years and is tired of all his bull****. Mayweather is not the end all and be all of this sport. He tries to come off like he's doing everyone else a favor but really he's out for himself. Remember when he never showed up to Dallas to discuss the football stadium as a possible venue. That right there tells me he was never serious and never will be serious about taking this fight. Why should these guys fight each other when they could take an easier fight and give the other guy 2 to 5 mil dollars only.

I don't just blame Arum for this like most of you idiots on here. Why would someone who has been heading up this sport for over 20 years as a promoter listen to a loud mouth punk like mayweather. You people have been swallowing a bunch of bull**** Koolaid from the media. Enjoy it, btw I'm going to be enjoying other fights this year as I could care less about this one now.
