Oh, that's cold-blooded. Castrejon vs. Moreno wasn't over (still a couple of rounds left) yet the WBC stream just straight up switched over to the ring walks for Sosa vs. Golez, which is at a different venue. They could have probably finished showing the girls in time, with as long as the ring walks and intros are going to take and since women's rounds fly by at only two minutes each. The lads take priority, though. :conf
Nope. They were just like "Alright, bitches. That's enough of you." The WBC is misogynistic on top of being corrupt! :|
..I think Golez edged that personally, his left hands were certainly the most eye catching shots of the round.
Round 1 Southpaw jab by Golez. Sosa waves his left arm around, measuring. Ooh, nice left hand to the grill by Golez. Another. Damn, landing pretty well. Sosa tries a long lead right and falls a bit short. Now Sosa gets his jab going and circles left. 1-2 by Sosa now, blocked. Right hook by Golez, caught on the arm but allowing Golez to get off a quick combo to the body. They stand a few feet apart and each measure with their jab. Body shot by Sosa wandering inside. Left to the body by Golez, and one to the head as Sosa bends at the waist. Nice left to the body again by Golez. Right hook by Golez is ducked, but another one makes glancing contact with the top of Sosa's head as the champ ducks. Golez circles left and rolls out his right jab, feinting with it and with his left. 10-9 Golez :think
Ha. Love Dr. Alfonso Morales old school commentary he's the best commentator ever. Good fight so far. Golez trying to lit up Sosa. Headbutts bound to happen.
Round 2 Sosa waves his left hand out and Golez checks it with a parrying right jab. Stiff right jab by Golez on the front foot. They've mutually come to an unspoken agreement to leave about three feet of space between them, both preferring that medium range. Headbutt. Sosa a little dazed. Golez rips a big right upper-hook from off the ropes as Sosa walks up to him but it's avoided with a quick backward hop. Right hand by Sosa. Another. Left hooks to the body. Golez is put in a corner and momentarily sits back against it as Sosa tees off. BIG left hook to the golden hair by Sosa, almost knocked the dye out of it. Now Golez comes back with some right hooks to the body. Left hand lead by Golez, plunking own on Sosa's chest. Combo by Sosa. Uppercut by Sosa. Left hook by Sosa. Golez is put in the corner by another hard combo. 19-19
Golez is doing better than I thought he would for sure.. still think he'll get stopped in the 6th though.
