I've mainly been to small local pro-am stuff with Joel Brunker as the main. I guess the biggest fights were Geale VS Ajetovic and MacKillop. Stiffy, what was the crowd like at the MMA events you were at? I'm a bit of a tight ass and rather watch at the local or on the web...
Yeah is something good to watch close up,i was ringside when he fought Jan Bergman from south africa in Newcastle,Jan ended up 3 inches from my lap he hit him that hard he went through the ropes...
How was the ufc stiffy? missed out on that one, got tix to the next one though. :good Biggest card i've been was Green vs RJJ, had a blast.
Insane crowds at the UFC in Sydney, sold out in the first 15 minutes. Very vocal and great show, I went to the weigh in's and the fan day and had a blast. Met Randy coture, yoshiro akiyama and grey Maynard :happy
To be honest sox, Randy came off as an arrogant ****wit I had a good chat with grey Maynard and he was as down to earth as it gets. When I got to Randy I asked for a photo and he grunted at me and continued signing photos, so I have a photo with me and him sorta looking like I ****ed his girl It was a blistering hot and they probably had sore hands from signing so I kinda don't blame him, but **** I lined up for about 3 hours for that grunt
I met Brian Ebersol and Forrest Griffin at a fitness expo last year, I got my kids' picture taken with them both, Forrest Griffin was indifferent about the whole thing, sort of a blank, bored look on his face with "next" clearly going through his mind, and who could blame him I guess, While Brian Ebersole was pumped to be getting pictures taken with fans, and chatted to me for a few minutes after the photos were taken, ecstatic, apparently, about basing himself in Melbourne.
Burruni v Gattellari Rose V Gattellari Famechon V Harada Mundine V Sterling Ramon V Paduano Fenech V Zarate
How ****in hard is it to sign an autograph though? Those people that they grunt at, are their fans and their customers. Only boxer I've ever met remotely like that was Mike McCallum. Hearns, De La Hoya, Eddie Mustapha Muhammad etc all brilliant...
Was alitle anoyed at Griffen, couldn't even fake an interest in my kids, one was two and one was eleven FFS, my daughter had the grace to fake an interest in him.
Good on her. Especially kids... pretty ordinary and I don't care how many autographs you've signed that day. It's not like he was eating dinner at the time.
As a youngster I was a regular with my Uncle at Festival hall, remember Kahu Mahanga knocking out Tony Mundine senior and remember also one night think it was Festival Hall Brisbane Manny Santos fought Hector Thompson remember waiting for the Big Bomb from Hector to finish Manny early but to his credit Santos went the distance for hard fought draw, great fights and great memories!!!!
the pictur is over in the 'Picture a Poster' thread in the BoxRec forum. I'll see if I can dig it out.
