You think Pacquiao isn't vocal enough about who he wants to fight as of late? I'm thinking he gives Arum a little too much power. God, **** Bob Arum.
since when was he ever vocal about who he wants to fight? its his game to keep his mouth zipped, hide behind his promoter, and let arum take all the hits for the ducking
:rofl He definitely has too much power, I think eventually pac vs floyd happens but when arum wants it to happen. I wish he would demand it and tell arum what to do instead of the other way around. All the recent inhouse fights since cotto basically have been arums way of milking pacs superstar high ppv selling rep. If he shares it with another promoter it benefits others, he thinks floyd is too high risk. Therefore we only get inhouse fights or guys who leave their promoter to fight him. Business wise he is doing very good but the sport of boxing isnt really benefiting from it neither is pacs legacy. Nobody wanted mosley or marg at that point or even clottey. 2011 sucked for him and its time to step it up this year.
no he doesn't http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=372634 I hope you become hopeful and happy after you see that he actually has influence on who he fights next
Pac is a great fighter, no doubt about that. I think that the talk by tards as to his place in history is vastly over rated, they keep trying to sell him as being this unbeatable fighter that has really just lost his last fight and should have lost 3 or 4 other fights in his career. I dont see Pac as an all time top 50 fighter because of all the loses real and ones he should have happened in his prime, and they werent always against great fighters. I know they will say that he got better because of working with Roach, however I think that the lastest fight with JMM shows us that not to be the case. pac just keeps fighting the same guy with a different name and getting them to fight at lower weights then is good for them. Oscar fought him at his lowest weight in 13 years, Mosley, Cotto, and Margo all had to cut weight pasted a comfortable level. Cotto was strongarmed into fighting at a lower weight by Arum and the ABC groups that said they would strip him, thus making it look like he ducked Pac, if he didnt fight him at the lower weight. that has been the genius of Roach getting the right guy at the right time and draining him in the process. Cotto said after the fight with Clottey that he was weak and couldnt make 147 anymore, all of a sudden they wanted the fight but not even at the limit. Cotto cant make 147 but they made him come down to 145 he has only fought above 150 since. WEight drained coming off the worst loses of thier careers and old. That is what the guys that pac fights recently have in common. If you take an honest look at Pac career since being with roach that what you find, great match making more then great fighting. Oscar 2-4 really going into his fight with Pac, he was dominated my Hopkins, and Floyd. Lost to Strum even though he got the win. only legit win in 6 years was Mayorga for what that was worth. Cut to the lowest weight in 13 years to fight Pac Cotto got distoryed by Margo hand wraps or not, had a nothing fight, then fought a life and death fight with Clottey. cut to 145 after saying that he could no longer make 147. Margo almost got killed my Mosley, out of boxing for almost two years had a nothing fight then cut to 150 to fight Pac. Mosley, after a few years of Roach saying no to the fight, was dominated by Floyd then had a draw with freaking Sergio Mora and 40 years old. Whats my point? Well its that Pac is fighting guys that are clearly at the end of thier careers, and have looked BAD in fights leading to the fight with Pac but are still big names. Pac greatest win was Hatton and he too was coming off a knockout lose to Floyd. The list goes on MAB, Morelas and Larios all came off of loses before fighting pac.
Pac is over-rated. But he is easily beatable. Berto, Ortiz, Alvarez, Bradley, Peterson would all beat him. So why match him with Floyd if these lower rank boxers can beat him?
Berto, Alvarez and Ortiz COULD beat Pac because of thier size, power and youth but really they would only have a punchers chance. Peterson is taylor-made for Pac. Bradley is the only one on that list I would give a legit shot at beatting Pac. Pac would most likely lost to Floyd but really most if not all fighters 154 and down would. However Pac is not a fighter that is easy to beat, beatable sure but it wont be easy, barring a quick knockout.
Is there really any point to continually trying to downgrade Pac at this stage of his career? He accomplished enough with the three Mexicans to make him an ATG, everything else is just icing on the cake. There's nothing you can say about him that would harm his legacy in the least and it looks kind of pathetic that you're still trying.
i like pac. he is fan friendly . he has been pissin me off ever sense the margs fight. he needs to be vocal about the floyd fight . he lets arum run the show way 2 much n arum is hurting his legacy.
yeah these *****s will do anything to discredit him. the sad part is floyd's fans actually believe he wants this fight when all his is doing is using the media.
no he doesn't need to be vocal about the floyd fight....they have been trying to negotiate with floyd for 2 years, they are sick of it, who the **** wants to deal with that whiny ***** anyway.
UMM I dont know about that. Had he beat them in thier primes then yes, but the truth is he beat faded versions of those guys, and he never really beat JMM and lost to Morelas. His record should be 4-4 vs the three after thier primes. In thier primes he may not have won any. The record books show that he is 6-1-1, so on paper it looks great. Pac is a great fighter top 100 somewhere in the 70's, but these clowns pushing him into the top 20 is a reach, big time.
