Burns - Crolla deal agreed for March 10

Good, now go and demand a WORLD class opponent as Ricky is a WORLD class fighter. When Mitchell, Murray or Crolla get a bigger win, string a couple together, defend the European once or twice then maybe they should get a shot.

Ricky really shouldn't let ****** manipulate him with these bull**** IN HOUSE match ups that are designed to keep the belt IN HOUSE.

dont know why you are being like this, all aggressive i think Burns is better, but i think it is personally a closer fight than you think,

and if it is such a walkover why are you trying to make the match ??? Con the fans by making a miss match? or then going after mitchell who got stopped by Katsidis (who was shot to **** when ricky boxed him)

i always been a supporter of Ricky would love to see him go in to great things, IF he every gets beat again i will not be pleased, but will come on here to laugh my arse off after this, was just opionion of one fight.

What do you expect? Every single poster coming on here and praising Burns for beating one world class fighter in his career in a faded Katsidis? Are you for real...and before you say it Martinez may have been a top 6 or 7 SFW NOT number 1 like you claim but the fact is 130 division is terrible and Martinez was basically a euro level fighter who was about as skillful as Jane Couch. It's time Ricky started fighting good opposition on a consistent basis, the fact that you stood here and defended all of his 130 defences was cringeworthy.

How likely an opponent would Gavin Rees be? He might not be an elite lightweight, but he'd still be a better class of opponent than any of Ricky's 130lbs defences, and isn't a bad fighter.

 

Apparently he turned it down.

 

Rees obviously wants to be paid for his efforts.

so looks like it will be a third rate opponent for Burns then, obvioulsy Crolla and Mitchell to Billy are no-where near good enough.

 

I have heard Colin Dunne might be offered the fight.

 

Rumours are that is was Rees he was facing but after seeing a few posts that don't appear to be the case any longer, i really hope for Ricky's sake it isnt a joke he ends up facing but looking at his 3 defences for the SFW belt it's looking very likely.

 

Rees would've been much better than Crolla. Not intrigued at all to see this matchup.

 

Burns outworks Crolla for a UD. Good fight though, glad Burns is stepping it up more.

 

Aye, I would love to see Rees in there. I think Burns would do a number on him though, Rees is like a forgotten man at the moment, he should get his stamina issues sorted and be aiming for the big fights - Burns would be perfect.
