    Not close in my opinion.....Conn is a higher level fighter....

    And I´m a fan of Giardello....

    Yes, I'm a big Giardello fan as well, but Conn would be bigger, stronger, faster and with the ideal amount of "moxie", and guts to beat Joey any day of the week. Billy Conn, in other words, was one of the greatest lightheavies of all time and would have nothing at all to fear from most 175 lbers of the past, nevermind any middleweights, and that includes Greb and Walker.

    Billy conn had two of his toughest fights against fred apostoli. this was shortly before he beat Bettina and Lesnevich, his best 2 light-heavys.
    its crazy to say he would have nothing at all to fear from Greb or walker

    And lost to Young Corbett III first timesround. Conn has become an unbeatable super hero in the last few months. It's understandable, but not true either.
