Canelo is a far more legit opponent for PBF than Ortiz

    Ortiz would KO Canelo
Pacquiao and Floyd would School him something serious.
    IMO

    :?

How do you hash that one out?

OK, he dropped Andre Berto a couple of times. Let's not blow things out of proportion. Ortiz is hardly some murderous puncher at welterweight, and would lose even less of the power he had at 140 if he moved up to LMW.

Canelo has been stunned a couple of times, sure - but he can hardly be called chinny. Not enough for an up-jumped light welterweight who used to have very good power and now has "just OK" power to be a sure thing to knock him out.

Yes Ill admit that one was a bit of a push. Ortiz is a big WW but then again Canelo is a big LMW. I jus see Ortiz giving Canelo alot of problems.

I see Ortiz finding a new way to quit if he ever fights Alvarez.

Canelo will have his moments if it happens, lets just see if those moments are enough to put a dent on Mayweather. Mayweather padding his record with future Faces of the sport that would benefit his resume... Lets see if it doesn't backfire as Canelo is a big dude with a lot of power, with some great timing and combos. If he can increase his stamina and just bring that low stalking pressure of his with big shots it can play out good for him.

his age, size will help him in the fight he is not yet ready for.. Mayweather taking a gamble, Canelo may pose some problems, but ultimately the inexpeirence may just be to much, or Canelo may take full advantage of his abilities and few advantages he carries over Mayweather... can't wait to see if it comes out...

I am excited if it happens... Canelo much much smarter then Ortiz, carries a huge heart with a lot of pride because of his millions of fans, a lot of power young and Hungry and his only deficiency is experience.

It should be an entertaining match.

Just Imagine the pre fight face off, 24/7 and staredowns with the ginger, Canelo gonna have a lot of people on his side to take out the bad guy, just what Mayweather the villain and character wants to sell to the public. It should be very entertaining.

Ortiz wasn't even a legit opponent. He was a "Well, who else IS there to fight" type of opponent. But he was sold as a young lion and the usual idiots on the board bought it and ate it up.

As for Canelo, that's just as bad, if not WORSE then the Ortiz fight. He's done even LESS the Ortiz has. Terrible.

:patsch This is the lamest kind of argument. First of all, he IS that age. Second, no one is saying he's OLD, so his age is moot. Third, only idiots would try and claim he beat an old man. WTF do you care what idiots who's opinion NO ONE takes serious say anyway? :huh

What a joke thread. Tell Pac to take on those people since he just won a belt at 154.

Mayweather is a 145 pounder who couldn't make it to 154. He should stick to where he is and take on all comers. If you *******s think a 145 pounder has a chance against Canelo and/or Martinez? Why don't you have the the 145 FOTD and alleged p4p champ who recently fought at 154 fight them? Right, because you know he is a fraud.

More of the BS ******* double-standard.

 145er.... WTF!?!? And yet, he couldn't make 144, let alone 145, vs. JMM. You're the epitome of ingorant fanboy Baldy.

BTW, you call Floyd a 145er, while saying Pac fought at 154 when he actually weighed 148? How the **** do you even manage to remember to breath....
