SO Pac has to actually provide evidfence against himself?

Are you all ****ing idiots? When did it ever happened in the American legal system?

In case the court allows it, it opens the floodgate to other cases wherein the one has to provide evidence against himself.

If Gayweather quack, then he must know something. Fishing expedition does not count in the legal system.

You are all dumb to believe that ****.

 He doesn't have to prove anything against himself...

He has to prove that Mayweather's statement was a lie. It's really easy to read up on. It's Pac's case. He has the burden of proof here. You can rant and rave all you want about how stupid the Mayweathers are, but the law is very clear on this. If you bring a defamation suit, the burden of proof is on you to prove that the statement of fact is a lie. :good

    :deal:deal:deal

In a defamation case, at least when the speech is on a matter of public concern, "the plaintiff [must] bear the burden of showing falsity, as well as [the defendant's] fault, before recovering damages." This is true whether the plaintiff is a public figure or a private figure. See

And on the flip side: why did Pac agree to settle if he had such a strong, airtight case?

You file defamation suits to recover damages, not apologies.

That would only be the case if he was on steroids, if he wasn't it would prove he was innocent. So what's the problem?

I think its really simple.. why would you refuse to provide information if you have nothing to hide? Like the same reason he didn't take the blood tests?

Damn I thought I put this thread to bed a few posts ago...

No need to kick 'em while he's down. I think he can read what I, and others, have spelled out for him.
