 Pirog is vastly overrated! Based on a win against Jabcobs? Damn!

Anyway, of that list I'll say Chavez. While he isn't very good, he'll have the size advantage here, and he has pretty good power. Under Freddie, he is boxing a lot more (as someone said previously), but he still has the ability to mix it up.

I think Martinez beats them all, but Chavez has the 'best' chance against him IMO

Lol yea, I am a Pirog fan and notice a lot of people overrating him on these boards, imo stylistically Martinez would not be a good fight for him at all (although I still think it'd probably be a good fight but can't really see Pirog taking it), same goes for Golovkin as well.

Barker and Macklin are incredibly different. Matthew will be in Sergio's face for the whole fight, roughing him up, throwing 6-7-8 shots, whereas Barker used his boxing skills you eluded to.

Styles make fights. Pirogi with the super black slick defence would make Martinez look silly.

Hence Martinez wants none of that. He knows.

None of these guys can beat Martinez !! After the experience with Barker , where Martinez underestimated him , Martinez would take in very serious a fight with any of these guys that you mentioned , so I don't see whom of these guys would have good chances against him. Maybe Mackilin , Proksa and Golovkin can give Martinez some problems but not to win against him. Martinez said that is very motivated into a fight when he has a good/top opponent ,so I guess that a fight with Floyd at 154 would light his fire of winning.

yer I realised this as I said it but I what I think I meant is that macklin Has a reasonable defense and keeps his hands up most of the time, I think he has a little more endurance than Barker and will go the full 12 as long as he can avoid getting hit by one of Sergio's sex bombs. Whatever though, Macklin vs Martinez will be a thrilling fight.

Why any of these fighters from MW don't fight each other ? lets say : Pirog vs Golovkin ; Proksa vs Chavez ; Sturm vs Geale ; Macklin vs N'Jikam etc ......the order's random , to prove that deserves a shot against the king of MW div. ( Martinez ) .
As far only Macklin proved that he's a top fighter because he fought with Sturm.
Promoters should make these fights to happen ( is available for any division ) , otherwise we won't know that who is the best fighter and who really deserves to be the best from his category.

    S6 tournament was a good exemple !

Yes mate, completely agreed. Gives less known fighters (i.e Golovkin) much needed recognition as well.

Out of the list, Macklin, but still he wouldn't be able to do it.

Kid Choc isn't ready for Martinez yet..

I voted for Andy based on how Matinez looked in the mid rounds vs Pavlik. I think Andy could replicate that kind of success.

I read on Fat Dan's last chat wrap their trying to make Lee-Quillen for the March date, does anyone know if that'll be announced this Wednesday? That'll be a great fight, might have to go with Lee in that one.

I like Kid Chocolate Quillin. I think Grendy Golovokin is going to be really good too. If Jermain Taylor can make it to the final bell he has the skills to build up a lead and posibbily have enough rounds in the bank to get a win. That is if he dose not get knocked out first.

They both talked about this fight.
They're both willing to fight anybody.
But there's simply no money in the fight between two of them right now.

Pirog wants to fight Martinez, Geale or anybody with the name in the US.

Bu he is potentially dangerous unknown Russian champion who brings no money to the table.

Pirog-Geale have been negotioated for a months already but seems like Showtime still reluctant to put 2 foreigners on the card.

GGG still can't get good fights and he is even more unknown than Pirog.

Golovkin's managerial problems kept him from getting serious fights for years.
Golovkin recently signed with Klitschkos - maybe that will help him.

    Golovkin wants Sturm.
Strum wants to keep his title as long as possible.

Maybe this year some good fights finally will be made.
